Noravank Monastery is an ancient place of worship located in Armenia. It was established in the 13th century and is at a distance of 122 km from Yerevan. It is located in the slim gorge formed by the activity of the river Amaghu. Bishop Hovhannes, a religion man founded this monastery in the year 1905. The monastery contains several important structures from different centuries including the Surb Astvatsatsin Church, Surb Karapet Church, Surb Grigor Chapel and numerous Khachkars. Momik designed the most beautiful building here, the Surb Astvatsatsin Church. He was a talented artist and sculptor, and this building was his last work.
