Pantai Timang, Yogyakarta Reviews
Beautiful view here but to cross the sea to Timang big coral, we need to go by bridge or hanging seat there. For bridge we need to pay 100k, hanging seat 150k and 200k for foreigners. But if you don't want to pay for those, you still can enjoy the beach and play there. There are some photo spots as well. Nice to enjoy the sea breeze.
Since I am used to the calmness of Malacca straits, I get to experience the power of Indian ocean. Just look at the power of the waves. For some reason, this place is really popular with Malaysian tourists. 99% of the tourists are Malaysians. If you have more than 1 person, it is best to hire a jeep. I took motorcycle taxi and I had the bumpiest ride ever in my life.
A beach with cliffs instead of sandy white sands. You can ride a gondala made of wood and hanging on ropes to a nearby island. The gondola featured on Running Man but perhaps i visited on a day when there wasn't a strong wind and strong waves and thus it wasn't scary at all. A great spot for photography though.
I came here with a friend. The place is kinda far from the town. We rode a bike and when we came to the gate a lot of people there said "Hey, we can give you a shuttle drive with our off-road bikes. The road is super bad and still kinda far (around 3km from the gate) and you have to pay 50k/person. " We refused the offering and insisted to go by our own scooter. The road is indeed worst and far but we enjoyed it. After we arrived at the beach.. all the tired had been paid. But what we didn't like from the atmosphere was the people there seemed so money oriented. They built some spots for photography and they ask for money. money. money. Even when you want to cross a bamboo bridge, it will cost you 35k/person. Ridiculous. I think the infrastructures could be more better, since they must have got a lot of money from tourists who paid for the gimmicks, but I feel like there are "mafias" who like to keep the road broken, so a lot of local people still can work as off-road drivers.
