On Indonesiaâs island Java, there is Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument in the world. Constructed in the 8th and 9th centuries and abandoned around the 14th century, Borobudur was largely forgotten until it was rediscovered in 1814. It is the most visited tourist attraction in Indonesia, and is still a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists. This tour will bring you to enjoy the amazing sunrise view of Borobudur.
You will visit the most spectacular and world’s biggest Buddhist monument complex, Borobudur, built around 800 A.D. Looming out of a patchwork of bottle-green paddies and swaying palm tops, this colossal Buddhist relic is one of the continent’s marvels. Great place! Even though the road to go there is BAD, and I mean REALLY BAD, it pay off after we get there. Do note that the price to cross till the island is quite pricey for local. At the moment it's Rp 150k to use gondola and Rp 100k to use the bridge. There are also some platform where you can take photos, but you also have to pay to take photos in these platform. The price is around 5-10k for each platform. So, prepare your money before you go here :D PS: Beside the main attraction, there's small beach. Because most people go to the main beach, no one go to this small beach when I went there. So it's good and feels like I have my own private beach.
The place is stunning. There are 2 ways to get to the opposite side, by gondola (~200,000 rupiah) or by suspension bridge (~100,000 rupiah). If you're arriving by a scooter, before you get into the place, the locals will offer you a ride in for 50,000 rupiah for return trip. The road to get in is quite extreme as the road are covered with rocks.
Awesome place and breathtaking view. Gondola ride across the island is exciting! Be prepared to get wet! 50k motorcycle ride to reach the place per pax or u can take the jeep for 350k. Expect a bumpy ride. 200k for gondola ride/100k for the bridge per pax.
Calling out all the adrenaline junkies out there. Do go here!! the beautiful scene the sounds of fierce Indian Ocean wave crushing the cliff its just super duper amazing. Challenge ur bravery by riding the gondola or hanging bridge to go to the small island accross the cliff .I suggest to go there just a few hours before sunset so that u can stay there and enjoy watching the sun setting.
RIDING GONDOLA TO TIMANG ISLAND This Gondola is very traditional, Trying Gondola at Timang island can lift up your adrenaline and be best experience in whole your life.
