On Indonesiaâs island Java, there is Borobudur, the largest Buddhist monument in the world. Constructed in the 8th and 9th centuries and abandoned around the 14th century, Borobudur was largely forgotten until it was rediscovered in 1814. It is the most visited tourist attraction in Indonesia, and is still a place of pilgrimage for Buddhists. This tour will bring you to enjoy the amazing sunrise view of Borobudur.
You will visit the most spectacular and world’s biggest Buddhist monument complex, Borobudur, built around 800 A.D. Looming out of a patchwork of bottle-green paddies and swaying palm tops, this colossal Buddhist relic is one of the continent’s marvels. Nice and clean room, reasonable price, friendly and helpful people, there's only one thing... Although most of the staffs are amazing, there's this one guy who received us when we arrived at night, and who, for unknown reason, only acknowledged my husband even though I was in front of him too. Even when it was my ID that's being used as identification, he kept talking only to my husband, completely dismissing me as if I was invisible. This is rather rude and unpleasant. But the day staffs were very great.
We felt very much at home, the owner was so friendly and cooked a different fresh, delicious breakfast for us every morning. The room was clean and spacious. It is in a great area, full of good places to eat, street art, galleries, interesting little shops. It's the nicest area in town in my opinion. Definitely would come again!
