The Cape Neddick Light is a Lighthouse and stands on Nubble Island approximately hundred yards off the Cape Neddick Point and is one of the best examples of a classic lighthouse. Visiting the lighthouse is like taking a step back in time and getting to know more about its history. The place is absolutely serene, and the views of the ocean are splendid. You could also get down on the rocks and watch the ocean up close. Though the lighthouse isn’t accessible, it is picturesque and watching it from a distance is also an experience in itself. If you can visit at the time of the sunrise or sunset and you are sure to be left dumbfounded by the sheer beauty of the lighthouse and its surroundings.

  • What's not to love about Nubble Lighthouse! One of my favorite places to visit on vacation as a child. Gorgeous views, easy to get to by car or on foot and worth the trip for a bit of Maine history! 💙✨🐋🌊🐚🦞🏖️

  • A lovely lighthouse that offers some great views for the whole family. We didn't stay too long, but we did get a cute family selfie in. It was raining when we went, but the parking lot was still full of cars. The views of the lighthouse and ocean are very nice. This is a nice place to look off the coast of Southern Maine.

  • Beautiful little tourist spot to view the sea and coast. The drive up is pleasant and the houses are gorgeous. Sad that you can't visit the lighthouse, but someone does live there, so I don't blame them.

  • The lighthouse is pretty but you can't get to it due to it's location. However the town of York is stunning. The views are excellent and the homes are beautiful. It is a nice, peaceful stop on your way up the coast. I would say it is probably my favorite along the coast.

  • When we first laid eyes on this beautiful lighthouse it was love at first site. The grounds are professionally manicured and everything from the restaurant that rest on the side of the road while entering the parking area to the small gift store are meticulously kept. The lighthouse setting with the cliffs and small gap that prevents anyone from actually going onto the grounds of the lighthouse are just breathtaking. Parking is plentiful and free. Benches are located throughout the area to sit back and take in all the beauty. Another item that enhances the view are the sailboats that smoothly sail by while taking pictures. You can take a blanket and enjoy a picnic lunch on the lush green grass while listening to the sounds of the waves crashing against the cliffs. This ranks as a top lighthouse when you need to relax and take a breather.
