Harvey Swimming Pool At Letchworth State Park Reviews & Ratings
The pool is great. The showers/changing area needs a serious upgrade. The snack bar has a variety of items including sunscreen, bags (think knapsack), approved floatation devices, candy, ice cream, grill items, and other random necessities (feminine hygiene, chapstick, combs, and I swear I saw flip flops and sunglasses). Lifeguards are alert and friendly. This pool is nothing like it was in the '80s, so if you're feeling nostalgic about the pool you will be disappointed. The curtains are pretty much gone from the changing area. The lockers require you to bring your own padlock. There used to be an area to rent floaties and other stuff (lockers) with returnable deposit. There is a wading pool that is now closed off and filled with plants. It could be a splash pad, but it's not being utilized. They no longer do umbrella rentals, but there are a few laying about. The changing area needs TLC, a LOT of TLC. The four stars are because they extended hours on the holiday, and the snack shop has great items in case you lose or forget something.
Large public pool, no added cost after you pay state park entry fee. Old facilities but they work. Large lawn area you can picnic in and has wood loungers
Crowded and understaffed. Facilities are dirty and dated. Needs to be renovated and brought back to today's standards.
What a great place to cool off on a hot day!
My kids love swimming in this pool and I love going to Letchworth State Park very beautiful and peaceful.
