Tunnel View - Review

Sometimes Mother Nature lines up the perfect photograph and then leaves it there for us to find enlightenment in – or win photoplasty contests. The most beautiful attractions are the El Capitan on the left, the Half Dome on axis and the Bridalveil Fall on the left – this is one of the most photographed views in the world. There’s almost certainly going to be a crowd. There isn’t much else to do, and the place is easily reached by car. Bring food and water for however long it is you think you’re going to remain drunk on this beauty.

  • Wow the tunnel view was much better than anticipated! Prior to my friends and I travelling to Yosemite we watched some videos of tunnels and they really did not do it justice. The experience, the sound and vibrations made for an excellent scenic adventure. Warning should use caution while walking through the tunnel because of vehicle traffic. I would definitely recommend this tunnel. It also makes for a very safe and fun 420 session!

  • There's a reason why this place gets millions of visitors every year. It's an AMAZING view to behold and I definitely can't wait each time I come down to stop here and just enjoy the beautiful view nature has to offer. Take a few pictures, enjoy the trip, and then after drive down and visit a waterfall or two. You can never go wrong at Yosemite. Bring the family!

  • Worth going here for the view. It can get busy with other tourists and photographers but you get one of the postcard view of the national park! I highly recommend it. I went in mid September which was a shame because the waterfall was not falling. I do not recommend to come here as a spot for the sunset. Others recommend Glacier Point instead.

  • Great view! Love this place. Nature is generous with us. Yosemite National Park is in California’s Sierra Nevada mountains. It’s famed for its giant, ancient sequoia trees, and for Tunnel View, the iconic vista of towering Bridalveil Fall and the granite cliffs of El Capitan and Half Dome. In Yosemite Village are shops, restaurants, lodging, the Yosemite Museum and the Ansel Adams.

  • Been here many times. In all different seasons. Summer is the most busy but everything is accessible. During winter some roads are closed but the views are even more astonishing. As well, in Midsummer the waterfalls or hardly flowing. I would recommend a spring, fall, winter trip to see the full glory of Yosemite national Park.
