Great hostel and staff far away from Rome to get away from the hustle but close enough for trips into Rome to visit(30 min by train for 2.6 euro each way to Termini). They have a free shuttle service between the Zargarolo train station and the hostel if you call. The rooms/bathroom/common areas are clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the daily dinner/activities which encouraged social interaction between guests.
Amazing place to chill, relax meet people and also discover Rome the ride is very easy, also the best staff
Through the duration of my visit to zagarolo, Italy. I have stayed at wiki hostel ; inspite of the wonderful view, spacious room and seemingly friendly atmosphere. This place is the most covert racist place I have ever stayed. As the staff smile in my face on a daily basis during my stay. The term "brutta costa nera" ( could be spelling it wrong) it means ugly black thing". A few times staff have mutterred this as I have entered /exit the room. Inspite, of the uncomfortable stay I have pressed on and enjoyed my graduation. I warn other people of color and more so afrucan americans DONT!!!! Purchase a ticket /room booking here. Its not worth the stress. If you have bookes your stay UN do the booking process.
It is an amazing alternative to staying in The center if Rome, 30 minutes by train, free shuttle between the hostel and the train station. Very friendly staff, very nice common area to chill out, quite area and clean rooms, pizza party and pasta party every week. I would come again just to relax and do a break from the normal routine.
I stayed here in summer of 2015. Have to be honest..the amenities are very basic and minimal. Building is old, beds are uncomfortable, it's very hot and no AC. Computers are ancient. At least price was cheap. But what really puts this place over the top is the charming hospitality. The staff will carry your luggage, give you a ride to the train station, cook and eat dinner with you. Very nice people and you'll meet some great travelers. There are a litter of kittens that hang around that meet the guests. You should understand this is nowhere near Rome. You will be staying in a tiny village of 17,000 about 30 km outside of Rome. You have to take a train to get there and you'll see some great Italy landscapes. The village is very blue collar and you really get to see the real Italy outside the tourist trap of Rome.
