Spring (March to May): Spring is a transition period from the cold winter to the warm season in Zakopane. The start of the season is cold in March but by the end, it is relatively warmer. Temperatures range from -5 to 10-degrees Celsius. The sun makes an occasional appearance, but most of the days are overcast and rainy. There are fewer tourists around this time.
Summer (June to August): This is the warmest season in Zakopane. Temperatures rise up to 20-degrees Celsius and it is sunny on a majority of days. It is often cloudy but does not rain for long post-June. Thunderstorms are a common occurrence around this time. Tourists throng Zakopane in large numbers in this season.
Autumn (September to November): The mercury starts dropping again in autumn, falling as low as zero-degrees Celsius. Snows begin to fall towards the end of the season. This is a great time to visit Zakopane if you do not want crowds on your visit.
Winter (December to February): This is the main tourist season in Zakopane. Heavy snowfall covers the entire town in powdery white and winter activities are carried out in full swing. Temperatures can drop to nearly -15-degrees Celsius.
