Gubalowka - Review

The Gubalowka mountain range near Zakopane is full of outdoor activities and fun for those visiting the city. In summer, the mountain is covered with a thick green cover and almost the whole range can be seen from the peaks. The Butorowy Wierch, the lift car to navigate up till the peak, is in use throughout the year. In summer, it takes hikers up to the peak from where they can enjoy the stunning views and climb down the nearby mountains. In winter, the cable car ferries people going up for skiing. A sand covered area on the mountain, also known as the beach, is the highest beach in the country. There are sunbeds here to soak up the sun. You can either spend time relaxing or hunting for an adventure on this mountain.

Gubalowka, Zakopane Reviews

  • Totally under rated! This is a fabulous place to spend an afternoon/day. We had beautiful weather, cold beer, mountain views and so much more! The rope park is well worth a visit and very cheap too. Definitely have a go on the gravitation slide. Enjoy this hidden gem in an amazing place!

  • Fenicular Railway to the top. On line booking recommended. Long flat walk along the top with the usual tourist tat stalls and a few places that serve refreshments. Like most tourist places in the National Park, once you get past the touristy bits, the walks soon become marked paths into the Mountains. DON'T START up one of those unless you are prepared for mountain walking, know the weather, have a map and compass AND KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING.

  • Lovely place, awesome view. Although food and service we got would get 1 star only. Gravity slider was tons of fun for me and my kid. 5 star for view & fun.

  • Fantastic place for visit you can get cart up here, lot of great shops and restaurants on top, there is a toilets providing, usually time here could be a 90min in average, prices are ok like for a Zakopane, well recommended for visit with kids and family.

  • Extremely crowded but we were able to organise few seats at the viewing point. Great place to spend some time and look at the beautiful mountain view. Kids were playing in the sand :)
