The Gubalowka mountain range near Zakopane is full of outdoor activities and fun for those visiting the city. In summer, the mountain is covered with a thick green cover and almost the whole range can be seen from the peaks. The Butorowy Wierch, the lift car to navigate up till the peak, is in use throughout the year. In summer, it takes hikers up to the peak from where they can enjoy the stunning views and climb down the nearby mountains. In winter, the cable car ferries people going up for skiing. A sand covered area on the mountain, also known as the beach, is the highest beach in the country. There are sunbeds here to soak up the sun. • Beautiful views from the top. Plenty of restaurants up here, and a 'beach' area to sit and relax. Not sure on cost of the tram to the top as came on a trip. The trip itself cost 260 zloty in a group from Krakow. Many of the agencies to private tours which cost 350 zloty. Well worth a visit just for the shops.

  • It takes a short trip by tram (or a longer and quite steep walk on a mountain trail) to get there, starting in the center of Zakopane. The view is really beautiful, you can see Zakopane and surrounding area from above. There is an edge with chairs along it, so you can relax and enjoy the view at the same time. Not dangerous in any way! From there, Zakopane is a little to the left and below you. In front of you (far away) is the rock wall that is the High Tatra mountains.

  • Totally under rated! This is a fabulous place to spend an afternoon/day. We had beautiful weather, cold beer, mountain views and so much more! The rope park is well worth a visit and very cheap too. Definitely have a go on the gravitation slide. Enjoy this hidden gem in an amazing place!

  • I highly recommend taking the rail care at the bottom of the hill to the top. You get a real appreciation of the Tatry mountains, especially if you've visited them!

  • Nice view, too touristic, if the queue for the train up is long , the queue back down will be twice as long
