About Wielka Krokiew, Zakopane

On the slopes of the Krokiew mountain is the biggest ski slope in Poland, the Wielka Krokiew. This historic path was opened in 1925 and serves as a location of the FIS Ski Jumping World Cup. The nearly 1500 metre slope has attracted many skiing enthusiasts to try out their stunts. There is a stadium close to the slope that seats 40 thousand spectators easily. Every couple of years, the slope and the stadium are modernised to increase their capacity both in terms of audiences and participants. While the slope is busy with skis during winter, it hosts a Grand Prix event in the summer as well.

  • The area has lots of little things to offer, but nothing to write home about. The ski jump is impressive, the ski fields are not at all! Snowlandia is vaguely amusing, the maze is pretty simple but it would be good for kids, we were a group of 20 somethings and it was funny in a way. Cheap though

  • definitely worth a visit if you're in Zakopane. You can take a look at the ski jump and take the cable car to the top and look around there. In the winter it's an amazing view if the weather is good.

  • Big ski jumping center. It is surrounded by ski fields of varying levels. It also have pop up stalls selling food, trinkets and other items.

  • The ski jump is in a bad shape and a very restricted access. You can only drive up with a cable line and no walking up or down

  • Very nice many attractions for the whole family
