Villa Harenda was once the house of Jan Kasprowicz, a famous Polish playwright and poet. After his death, his wife converted their house into a museum which still hosts poetry readings and meetings. The house is maintained in the same way as it was during the poet’s life. There are three main rooms in the house; dining room, lounge and bedroom. Other rooms have also been made a part of the museum. The poet’s furniture, paintings, books and photographs have been put up on display in these rooms. Visitors can see his office space and library in the house as well. They try to educate visitors about the living conditions of the poet and his inspirations for working too.
