Krimml Waterfalls - Review
Hike up to the tallest waterfalls in Salzburg: the Krimml waterfalls set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Hohe Tauern National Park and the little village of Krimml. The waterfall is 380 meters high as the mountain waters of the Krimmler Ache, a glacial creek, plunge over three tiers to the valley below.
Reaching up to the waterfalls is a long journey but as you walk for about 30 minutes from the southern end of the village, you shall come across the path to the first view point, the Lower Falls. From here, the Riemannkanzel and the third view point are only about 5 minutes apart. As you climb further, you shall see the Krimmler Ache, which is the source of the waterfall.
At the entrance to the Krimml Waterfalls, there is a new theme park, Water Wonder World, where you can enjoy a new theme park, the Aqua Park and the Multivision show.

Krimml Waterfalls, Zell Am See Reviews
Beautiful waterfall with nice areas near the bottom to take photos and view the nature's beauty and power. The clear water hitting the rocks creates a heavy mist of fine clear water so you may want to bring a coat but be sure to get close enough to breathe in the mist as according to signs at the falls the mist has been thought to have healing properties for centuries. The views from the many lookouts on the trail to the top of the falls are equally impressive but the trail is very long and quite steep.
Beautiful falls with a beautiful journey to them. Parking can be done at the nearby car parks with the closest one getting full quite quickly. We took the water fall taxi to the top and walked our way down. However would recommend going halfway as this is where the best views are. Can be impossible to trek up if you’re not in top form. The beautiful views made the journey down worth the down trek.
Great fun with the family. We all enjoyed it even some of us didn’t make the complete walk to the top. Looking forward to the next visit.
Great views and good hiking. You can climb a few or several hundred meters (depending how brave you are :)) uphill with many stops to have rest and enjoy great views to the Krimml waterfalls and Alpine valley. The restaurant and shopping area at half way up help a lot too :). I'd recommend to start early morning in high summer season to avoid crowd and heat. Overall: great place to visit.
Oh man what an experience. You will not be ready for this. The wind speed and spray at the bottom is phenomenal. You will not be able to see anything, with the frigid water blowing in your face when you stand in front. Amazing place. Go to the side to enjoy a more serene view.
