EngstligenfalleAdelboden roughly translates to Engstligen Falls. These falls are near Adelboden in the Bernese Highlands. The falls consist of two waterfalls, Engstligen Fall I & II of heights 97 metres and 165 metres respectively. They have one of the highest water volumes of alpine waterfalls. The upper falls can be partly seen from the Engstligenalp cable railway but for a full view a mule track is used. Whereas, the lower falls are accessible on an easy mountain path.

As for the views that greet you, their beauty is hard to put into words. The white water gushing down along the rocks is in total contrast to the darkness of the rocks and the greenery around. For a minute, it almost seems like a scene out of a mythical story. In winters, it is a great place for ice climbers. The water and the landscape is completely white and the reflecting rays of the sun make the whole place sparkle. If you do decide to visit, don’t forget to take your camera along with you.
