If you thought you’ve seen a view to die for, you might want to hold your horses till you visit the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. Ride as high up to the beanstalk as you can with Europe’s highest altitude cable car to enjoy spectacular views of 14 glaciers and 30 mountain peaks, some of which are in France and Italy, not to mention the Matterhorn, of course.
The Matterhorn Glacier Paradise is a rather happening place as climbers leave from here to scale Breithorn and since skiing happens here 365 days a year, there’re always skiers looking to train or just ski for leisure. Once you’re done exploring, step indoors and explore the glacier palace full of ice sculptures, a crevasse to walk through and an ice slide, which is ideally meant for kids, but adults are known to slide down bum first here too!

Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, Zermatt Reviews - Write a Review
Great views. A little pricey at a 100 Franks a person to get all the way to the top and back. The prices includes the glacier paradise and observation deck. Oxygen level is low at the top so don't run. Pay attention to the departure times if you stop on your way up or down at the restaurants. When they close they close. No warning, no horn NO NOTIFICATIONS THE LAST LIFT IS LEAVING. YOU WILL HAVE TO HIKE DOWN.
It is expensive but the view is truly spectacular both on the way up and at the top. The food at the restaurant was tasty although service can be a little slow. Given the cost to get up there and the prices at the restaurant, paying extra for the toilets seems somewhat excessive although you can claim that back if you eat at the restaurant. One thing to note is that the altitude definitely makes the air thinner and if you are not used to it, it can make any form of exertion difficult.
You need to take a total of 3 cable cars to reach the top. The view is amazing and breathtaking. It can be quite crowded in the morning because people are going up to ski.
Great to visit the glacier world at almost 4000 m. And don't forget to visit Schwarzsee paradise, you can spot some lovely flowers in spring & summer. A great place to see the Matterhorn real close.
Stunning views at almost 4000m above sea level. There is an ice cave with sculptures and a tube slide. The panoramic observatory offers a breathtaking view of Matterhorn and Klein Matterhorn.
