A piece of history is attached to this whitewashed Anglican church. Although it’s called St. Peter’s Church, the church is also fondly referred to as the English Church; before the church was built, there was a large number of Christians who came from England. There would be special masses held for them on Sunday, before a special church was built for themfrom donations and help from the locally residing English folks.
Located behind the ski and snowboard school, the church is more like a sanctuary- the interiors of the church contains a plaque of all those mountaineers who were associated with the mountains of Zermatt.
