This is a long street on which you will find seafood stands where Chinese people sell super fresh seafood. The mark of freshness is evident from the fact that 90% of the items are still alive. You will find a large variety of seafood including different types of crabs, prawns, fishes, scallops, crocs, sharks and even other weird looking insects and sea worms.

Similar to most of China, in this market also your bargaining skills are challenged the most. The problem is that they slightly take advantage of the tourists and raise their prices a bit too much so you need to go on bargaining till it suits you. Just on the opposite side of these stands there are number of restaurants outside which you find waiters calling at you to choose them. These are the places where you need to get the fresh seafood cooked for a delicious meal. They of course charge you extra for this but satisfaction is assured. All in all, this is a very Chinese experience that is a must on your visit.

• It is better to visit this place early in the daytime since it gets quite a bit crowded in the late hours and especially in the evening.
