Visit Zion National Park - Best of Zion National Park
The moment you will step inside the Zion National Park; you will feel as if you have entered into a surreal world of inexplicable natural wonder. Located in Utah, Zion is the oldest national park in the region that has earned a universal importance owing to its oldest geologic layers which have always been subject of scientific and geological enquiries. Every year, around 3+million visitors visit this national park and experience this “heavenly landscape” (Zion’s meaning) with their own eyes. The park is so grand that it seems to have been transported from another world altogether.
The features that constitute the park are something worth mentioning here: there are at least a dozen desert waterfalls, ancient rocks, emerald pools, angel’s landing which is favourite with the hikers, water filled slogs and narrow red rock subways that constitute the landscape of this park. Due to its dramatic terrain, the park is quite popular amongst the hikers who take it as a challenge to explore its numerous pinnacles. For those who wish to avoid hiking can stick to the park’s scenic byways and trails. The park is also home to more than 200 bird species, making it a photographer’s paradise.
As for the Zion Canyon, it is centrepiece of a gigantic 147,000-acre parkland that protects a spectacular landscape of high plateaus, sheer canyons, and monolithic cliffs. After your day’s exploration in the park, you can move back to Zion’s campgrounds and enjoy some family fun while admiring the various facets of nature visible in this landscape.
