The reason why the temple of Sinawava is famous is that it acts as a starting point to one of the most scenic trails of Zion national park: The Riverside Walk and the narrows. The temple looks magical and awe inspiring as it is surrounded by lush green cottonwood trees. Amidst this, there is an immense rock edifice known as “The Pulpit” which gives the effect of surrealism. From this point, you can take up the Riverside Walk which is a paved one-mile trail that leads to the gateway to the Virgin River Narrows.

Temple Of Sinawava Reviews & Ratings

  • Absolutely gorgeous. And an easy walk, too. Well, until you make the decision to take the plunge and go see the narrows (go see the narrows, it's worth it). To top it off, we kept having run ins with these adorable little squirrels!

  • If there is any way a person can make their way through Zion and not fall in love. You don't want that person in your life. Drop them quickly and block their number.

  • A very beautiful place at the top of the Zion Scenic Drive. Very peaceful and serene, but also exciting if you take the Riverside Walk and then hike "The Narrows."

  • Very easy hike. A little over 2 miles (round trip). Very nice walk on a paved road. Great for pics! Leave fur babies at home. No pets allowed.

  • Had only a day here. It was amazing but would love to take another trip spend more time.
