After booking and confirming the service we will kindly request the time when you want to be picked up, we are willing to fit on your schedule! The name of the driver-guide will be informed as well.
Your 1-Day tour will start when we meet you at your Hotel in Bogota (or El Dorado Airport), you will feel comfortable and safe with our premium cars and professional driver-guides.
Our first visit will be Mount Monserrate, located in a height of 3152 m over sea level in Eastern Andes Mountains. From there you will have a complete view of the city. Monserrate, formerly a sacred place for Muiscas, is nowadays a pilgrim destination due to the Fallen Lord Church, finished in 1925.
Then, we will descend to visit the historic centre of Bogota, starting with the magnificent Gold Museum. It is an archaeological museum, considered as the largest collection of pre-Columbian gold artefacts in the world. Please keep in mind that Gold Museum is closed on Mondays.
After Gold Museum, we will be ready to take a walk through the places where the dream of independence was forged in the early 19th century. We will be visiting Casa del Florero, Bolivar Square, Primatial Cathedral and Casa de Nario among others.
At this point, it is a good idea to make a stop for lunch (not included). We recommend a tasty Ajiaco, the most typical meal in the city and loved by all Bogotanians.
The next visit will be at La Candelaria neighbourhood, with a walking through its cobblestoned streets, Spanish colonial houses, colourful facades and world-known urban art. This will be the moment for photograph lovers.
Besides, we will visit the Cultural Block of the National Bank of Colombia, where Botero Museum is located. Fernando Botero is the most celebrated Colombian artist and he is known by his large volume art which represents the daily life of our country. Please keep in mind that Botero Museum is closed on Tuesdays.
Next, we will leave the historical center to visit two places in the northwest, that celebrate the biodiversity of Colombia: the Botanical Garden of Bogota and the Simon Bolivar Park. Just 30 minutes from downtown, these are the perfect spots for nature lovers.
