This was the 5th and final tour booked through with emo tours on my family's first visit to Egypt. The company provided excellent service all throughout our one week stay. We enjoyed all the tours. The guides were exceptionally nice and very hospitable..as were the drivers. We really recommend these tours and company to all future visitors. Great value for money. The guide we had on this trip was Walid elshaaer. He was on time to pick us up at our hotel and dropped us off too. He is very knowledgeable like the other tour guides about Egypt. He is also very polite and accommodating and was used on another tour (atv guide giza pyramids) where he provided great service again. The ride is safe and we were given water to drink. Excellent views on the river nile in hot weather. Opportunity to take pics and videos throughout the journey. Any questions or queries we had.. Walid answered them very well. Thank you for making our trip worthwhile :)

A great way to chill out in the evening and get some different views of the city. My guide Ahmed Abol Naga was fantastic, very friendly and knowledgeable. Would certainly recommendation this trip if you have a few spare hours (would suggest the 1hr trip). Note, if you select the meal option it won't be on the boat.

Disappointing trip, we had high hopes. However, the sailing boat can only travel between two bridges on the Nile due to height of sail of course which we hadn’t considered so our mistake. We booked a two hour trip which we cut short, as mostly we were going in a figure of 8 and seeing such a limited area. Loud music and not the kind that was appropriate for a trip to relax and take in the atmosphere. It felt as though the sailor was taking us out for his amusement and enjoyment not ours.

What a wonderful, relaxing time on this cruise. Such an amazing guide and well worth it! I would recommend!

This experience is very basic but we really enjoyed it for the slow pace and relaxation as a family. You are on the Nile in a local wooden sail boat called a felucca. Ours had a canopy with cushions to sit on and were given water bottles before we got onboard. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to our boat which in this case was across from the Four Seasons Hotel. You are not going to get far in an hour in a sailboat. We managed to get to the other side, down to the bridge and then back again. There's not too much to see but who cares! You are on a sailboat on the Nile just soaking everything up. Relax! Our guide was there if we had any questions. He occasionally would mention something of interest during our time but he was great as he did not talk just for the sake of it. Would definitely do it again.

Our guide was phenomenal! Esra came inside our hotel’s lobby to pick lead us to the air conditioned vehicle. She spoke great English and taught us a few words and phrases in Arabic. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Nile River, Cairo, Giza, and Egypt in general. The tour was relaxing, informative, and fun! The captain was very experienced and instructed us to switch our weight at various points during the ride so turn/navigate the vessel. It felt great to experience an eco-friendly ride on the I famous Nile. After the ride, she treated us to koshary (a local dish) with noodles and a tomato base. It was yummy. We would definitely book with this company again, and hopefully, we’d get Esra/Ezra (not sure which spelling is correct, sorry).

This tour was by far the biggest letdown of my tours so far in Egypt. Long story short, it was a waste of time and I would have rather stayed at the hotel’s swimming pool. First, the driver in the lobby didn’t have a sign and I didn’t know who to look for. We finally crossed paths so that worked out good. About 10 minutes into the ride we started driving down some small streets/ally. The driver stopped almost in the middle of the road and sat there for a few minutes. I then asked how long it will take to get to the boat dock and he told me one moment. After that, I kind of got creeped out. A couple minutes after a guy comes running to the car and gets in and says hello. We asked who he was and he said his name is Nader and our tour guide (at that time, we thought the driver was also the guide). My partner and I started feeling a little better. Nader apologized for being late. It was a silent ride and kind of awkward. I guess my partner and I still seemed hesitant because Nader asked if we were mad for his tardiness when we got in the boat and we shared no we just didn’t know what was going on. Nader did say he told the driver to inform us about that beforehand. Nader proceeded to give us a little history on a couple surrounding buildings and bridges. Then he took some pics for us and made a little conversation. After that, most of the boat ride was silent and he was just on his phone (I guess texting or Facebook). About 30 minutes into sailing, we headed back to the dock. I asked if this is the end and Nader said yes. We said we thought it was supposed to be an hour and he said he didn’t know. He instructed the boat driver to sail a bit longer. During the last 30 minutes, we asked where would lunch be located and Nader said he didn’t know anything about lunch. I showed him my confirmation that lunch is optional but it is included. After a few minutes, he finally offered to pay for our lunch and we decided we wanted Chilis. We got in the car and he told the driver but the driver wouldn’t take us there because it was in the other direction and said we needed to find something on the route to the hotel. My partner and I just gave up looking and stayed hungry until we got back to our room for room service. The description said we’d get an expert tour guide and we certainly did not. Nader mentioned being in school and waiting to take his Egyptology exams. What little he did share, he was quite knowledgeable but overall not an expert guide (but really nice guy). Also, while sailing, we basically floated in the same area. We did not cruise up and down the Nile River and didn’t get to truly see what it had to offer because the guide said the boat’s sail would break if we went under the bridge. I was not made aware of that beforehand or I would’ve booked a better tour. If you’re hoping to actually cruise the nile River, I suggest you find another tour option. Also, verify upfront about lunch. This tour was boring and just wasn’t worth our time or money.
