OverviewBe awed by the spectacular beauty of the Mosque-Cathedral of Crdoba on a guided tour of one of the most visited monuments in Spain.
Conserving the decorative style of an Islamic mosque, construction of the magnificent monument began in the 8th century. Later extensions vastly increased its size, turning it into the second biggest mosque in the world before it became a Catholic cathedral.
Venture inside to discover a forest of columns and elegant double arches, and admire the ornate maqsuramihrab (apse) along with other decorative highlights. Be led by an official guide to build a full picture of this landmark building.

Christina our guide brought this fab building to life for use with her knowledge and story telling. We have had 2 other tours on this trip to other sites and she was head & shoulders ahead on her ability to deliver her story, linking the development of the building with the people involved. Bravo!
Really liked the small details the guides shared with as we went around - size etc of the additions / detailing the choir carvings
The knowledge of the guide was great and also skipping the lines was well worth the price paid. There were lots to see.
Visite incontournable en allant en Andalousie Architecture des différentes époques La visite guidée est un plus L après midi moins de monde que le matin
The information presented by the guide greatly enhanced our understanding of the history of this cathedral and Spain.
It was wonderful experience, guide knew well but her clothes were inappropriate for a masjid/ cathedral visit. Interesting to know that qibla is not correctly oriented.
It is so worth having a guide for this incredible building! There is so much history to it and our guide was fantastic in making sure all the important moments and areas were covered.
No se puede perder la visita a la catedral mezquita Es una belleza imposible de olvidar y más con lo narrado por la guía
The Mesquite is a must-see in Cordoba. Unfortunately our guide spoke mostly about the numbers of columns and knaves, repeating the same numbers numerous times. She did not share much about the history and context of the different rulers, only to say each ruler expanded the structure. After an hour we left the tour early. A day earlier in Seville we toured the Alcazar and Cathedral and it came alive, unfortunately the contrast today left us disappointed.
Very knowledgeable, clearly spoken guide with excellent English. The guide gave enough information to give a real picture of the history of the tour without overloading the tourist.
