Once you arrive at the airport, you'll be picked up and transfered to your hotel. A bilingual chauffer will be waiting for you at the airport with your name on a board to take you to the hotel. After some relaxation, you'll all proceed to the first item on the agenda: an evening tango class. There is a saying: "It takes one lesson to learn tango and a lifetime to improve it." An individual tango class is provided by experienced tango instructors so you can experience the passion and sensuality of the tango. Afterwards, dinner will be at the famous Chiquilin Restaurante, where you'll be able to enjoy world famous Argentine beef and malbec wine.
Day 2: City Tour (B)
In the morning, you will be picked up by a local guide and given a tour around the city and its surroundings that will allow you to discover its spirit, its mystique and its charm. The following areas will be visited: Plaza de Mayo, Puerto Madero, La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo, Recoleta Cemetery. You'll wrap up the day with a tango show with dinner at “El Querandi”. Carlos Gardel is recognized as one of the most important singers and actors of the 19th century. Born in France, he came to Argentina as a child; he then rose to fame singing tango in the many theatres of Buenos Aires. You will enjoy a gala dinner show of dance and song dedicated to this icon whose voice has now been registered culturally important by UNESCO.
Day 3 Gaucho Party at the Estancia Santa Susana: (B)
Today you will be taken out to the pampas of Buenos Aires to a typical ranch were you will be able to enjoy and gain an insight to the “Gaucho” culture. Gauchos are the famous horsemen (descended from the native Indians and Spanish settlers) who work the ranches of Argentina, and have a clearly defined culture that manifests itself through folklore, music, dance and sport. At the Gaucho party, you'll enjoy a wine and empanada reception, visit the Estancia museum and church, participate in horse and sulky trips, enjoy typical Argentine BBQ with wine, and finally watch a folklore show with Malambo & demonstrations of Gaucho horsemanship.
Day 4: Fly to Iguazu Falls (B)
Iguazu Falls is undoubtedly the most visited place in Misiones and one of the most imposing natural attractions in Argentina. Today, you will enjoy a full day tour of the Argentine side of the Iguazu Falls. During the tour you will get ‘up, close and intimate’ with views of this unforgettable section of the Iguazu River. Your guide will show you the hidden gems of this unique National Park in the lower and upper walkways, and will take you off the beaten path to show you the best views. Trails through the 210 square mile reserve provide visitors with various views of the Falls, especially the largest one, Devil's Throat. The mist over the Devil's Throat is such that endless rainbows are formed. FYI: you will get wet from the spray of the falls The ecological train ride is included in the tour. You'll then return to your hotel in the late afternoon.
Day 5:Iguazú Falls (Brazil side) (B)
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken across the Argentine/Brazilian border and enter the Iguazu National Park on the Brazil side. Here you will enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of the Falls during a walking tour through the passages that connect the different observation points. Similar to football, the Brazilians and Argentines argue which side has the best view of the Falls. What is clear is that both sides are different and spectacular in their own unique way. You can decide for yourself, which side you are most impressed with.
Day 6: Transfer to the airport to take flight to Salta (B)
You'll leave the hotel and arrive at the airport in the morning. You will be met by English-speaking staff and then transferred to your selected hotel. Afterwards, you'll be taken on a bilingual city tour which will give you an insight into its Colonial past which is seen in the Hispanic architecture of its houses and Churches. San Francisco Church, first built in 1626 and rebuilt in 1870, has the highest church tower in South America (53 mts.). The tour continues to San Bernardo Hill where you will get a panoramic view of the city and Lerma and Lagunilla Valleys that is one of the most fertile regions of Argentina. You will travel through Castellanos Gorge to get to the residential summer resort San Lorenzo located on the river shore. On the way back, the tour will stop at the famous indigenous handicrafts fair. In the evening you are free to visit one of the many cafés in the main plaza to watch the world go by and enjoy the vibrant and authentic folkloric singers over a few wines.
Day 7: Cafayate (B)
Today you will enjoy excellent wines and take-in the unbelievable 'Puna' landscape. Cafayate, renowned for its excellant white wines and its magnificent silverware, is a picturesque city located in the Valley of Las Conchas River. The tour passes along Cerrillos, El Carril and Coronel Moldes to get to Las Conchas River Gorge, a natural monument of spectacular beauty, and on to Cafayate. The houses in the city show a mixture of the colonial and baroque architecture from the late 19th Century. The tour includes a visit and wine tasting in one of the famous wineries in the area.
DAY 8: Jujuy (B)
While traveling through the Humahuaca Gorge on your way to Jujuy, you will visit a chain of little villages, surrounded by a colorful and charming landscape. The natural erosion has carved interesting shapes into the rocks, and you'll have time to stop, walk around and appreciate the impressive natural wonders. This area was declared a World Natural Monument by UNESCO for its colorful hills and unique natural formations. Each of the hills has distinctly shaped features including the Devil's Throat, the Amphitheater, the Frog, the Obelisk and the Castles. In Jujuy, you will visit the Cathedral, famous for its golden altar, a valuable piece of colonial art, and the Government House where the Argentine flag was raised for the first time.
Day 9: Salta to Buenos Aires (B)
Transfer to the airport to board your flight back to Buenos Aires, with a transfer to the hotel afterwards. You'll have a free day to explore or relax to your heart's content.
Day 10: Leaving Buenos Aires (B)
From the hotel, you'll have a transfer to the international airport or port.
