This volunteer experience start by picking you at Nairobi Airport then transfer you to Nairobi Hotel. The following morning our guide will come to pick you then offer orientation visiting Giraffe Center and David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage then later in the afternoon introduce you to the school and your host family living near the school who will host you for the next 14 days.
Start volunteering working alongside local teachers as an assistant, teaching students in primary schools, high schools or even those at university level. As part of our long-term development goals, you will be involved in helping to improve the learning environments for students in Kenya. Resources across our destinations vary, and classes are often overcrowded. Your help is much appreciated, especially when it comes to giving students vital individual attention to support their studies. You don't have to be a teacher to volunteer on our Teaching projects, and there is no need to have a TEFL qualification to gainwork experiencein any of our overseas destinations. Furthermore, you don't even need to speak the local language. Our Teaching programme is open to all volunteers whether you are on agap year, atuniversityor wanting acareer break. All we require is a good standard of spoken English.
Volunteers usually find themselves assisting with other subjects, as well as running extracurricular activities such as arts or sports. If you have any special interests or skills, do let us know when you apply as Special Requirement. We will then try to match you to a school where your talents will be put to good use. On completion of volunteer work we will drop you off toNairobi Airport to catch your flight back home.
