Know More about this tour

DAY-1. After pickup at your hotel, cruise ship or Airport by your private & informative tour driver, sit back & relax as you set off for the 1-hour drive to your first stop, the impressive Corinth Canal before continuing to Ancient Corinth to explore its well preserved streets & remains. When you are ready we continue through the olive groves & orchards to Ancient Mycenae where you will enter through its gigantic cyclopedian walls towards the palace of Agamemnon, leader of the Greeks against the Trojans, view the famous Beehive tombs & its wonderful modern museum before a short drive to Nafplion.

Nestling underneath the dominating hilltop castle of Palamidi you will experience one of the jewels of Greece. Nafplion was its first capital and retains its charming Venetian quarter which is packed with local art, craft & food shops just beside the sea where you can pick your spot for lunch with an idyllic view to the Bourtzi castle in the bay. When you are ready we continue to the village of Olympia & your centrally located Hotel with ample time to souvenir shop in the village or just relax.

DAY-2. After breakfast the following day sees a short drive to explore the archeological site of Ancient Olympia. Founded in the 8th century B.C. and famous as for its Olympic games of antiquity you will see its extensive ruins which include the places where the original athletes were taught & trained and go through the tunnel to emerge in the stadium in which they competed. The site is also still home to the Temple of Zeus and Hera where the Olympic Flame is lit, the workshop of Phidias, and in its more modern museum where you will find many of the masterpieces from its original temples along with many other fascinating pieces with stories to tell.

Your considerate & knowledgeable tour driver will inform you along the way about all the places visited. For those wanting accompanied guiding inside any of the sites, tried & trusted Private Licensed guides are available on request.
