Inthe evening sets in we will reach Sighisoara, where you will be accommodated.

Afterbreakfast, we will go on a tour of the medieval citadel of Sighisoara, one of the very few permanently inhabited citadels in Europe. This is also the birthplace of the legendary Vlad Dracula, whose house we will see, after which we will climb to the top of the 500 year old clock tower for a fantastic view over the town.
Next stop will be Sibiu, also known as Hermannstadt. This is the heart of the German community living in Romania, the German Saxons having lived here for over 800 years. Marius was a wonderful tour guide! He was extremely knowledgeable and a great driver! I definitely recommend the two day medieval Transylvania tour!

It was an amazing experience. Alex, our tour guide, did an amazing tour of all the sights. He was detailed and added amazing information about all the sites and more about Romanian history and culture. He answered all our questions with such great details. This tour is a must! Really the best part of our trip!

We combined this two day tour with another day trip to Constanta. Marius was our tour guide and driver for all three days, and was informative, entertaining and great company! Peles Castle was amazing. So much wonderful history and fabulous rooms. We got there very early and avoided the crowds, which was much nicer. Brasov was a nice place to stop for lunch. Lots of tasty looking options, and we had a traditional Romanian meal at “Ceanul” (the cauldron). Bran Castle was smaller than Peles, but also lovely. Really interesting to see. The overnight stay was in Hotel Bulevard in Sighisoara. A lovely little family run hotel and restaurant with good value and tasty food. The second day we did a walking tour of Sighisoara, which was interesting too, then headed to Sibiu and had lunch there, then drove back to Bucharest. On the final day, we did a day trip to Constanta, where there are some lovely churches and a mosque with fab views. The museum is excellent, showing a great range of artefacts from all eras. We went to the beach afterwards. It was out of season so not much to see but we had a lovely walk on the beach. Marius came round the castles and museums with us and was really knowledgeable and interesting in what he pointed out. The vehicle used was a nearly new Renault minivan, which was very comfy. We were supposed to have another couple joining our family for the tour, but then they changed their dates so we ended up with a private tour! I definitely would recommend this tour company. My parents plan to visit Romania later this year and will be doing one of their tours.

Emanual was an excellent tour guide. He was very knowledgeable of history and current affairs. He was a safe driver and ensured we were safe and in good hands during every stop. It was well coordinated. He made the tour enjoyable.

This tour is a great way to learn about Transylvania history and culture in two days. The guide for the trip we took, Ovi, is a good storyteller and has an impressive depth of knowledge. The pacing is just right -- a nice mix of guided walking tour, free exploration, and resting in the van on the way to the next stop. Each stop is a different kind of amazing -- the royal palace, the castle, the gothic churches, the preserved centuries-old city centers. The restaurants that Ovi recommended were all tasty and satisfying. The hotel in Sighisoara is quiet and clean, with comfortable beds. If you have two days to give, you will be glad you did this tour and remember it forever!

The castles were impressive and the Brasov, Sighisoara and Sibiu Old Towns were all beautiful and fun to walk around. Our favorite was Sibiu, with expansive Old Town and a great view from the Cathedral Clock Tower. Our guide, Marius was knowledgeable and accommodating. The tour’s choice of hotel was good; convenient and comfortable, with a good attached restaurant. We were very happy with our tour and our tour guide, Marius.

We did the 2-day Transylvania trip with Marius. The entire trip was enjoyable & sites visited were second to none. I strongly agree that to be able to fully appreciate the area, it requires decent amount of time. And this tour exceeded our expectations. Even the meals recommended for dinner were exceptional. The hotel we stayed at felt like a 5-star hotel cause of the room quality and staff service. As to Marius, he was so educated & funny at the same time. There was no dull moments with him and he would bring you to places on time as much as possible to have enough time to roam around and enjoy the scenery. Plus he also respects his guests’ time and privacy to tour the area at their convenience and choice. Definitely a recommended travel agency in Bucharest and Paul the owner was also professional and prompt in answering any query. Kudos to the team!

Emmanuel was our guide for the four of us. Other reviewers have favorably and passionately raved at length about this One Excellence tour guided by our new friend Emmanuel. He really is exceptional at hosting tours. You can trust him to show you two days of an exciting and fascinating Transylvania that you’ll remember fondly.

A1 service, my wife and I were picked up at arranged time by emanuel, in a pretty new vehicle. We received a very informative and super friendly tour over the 2 days. Emanuel was able to give us whatever time we wanted at each of the stops. The overnight accommodation was at the Hotel Bulevard in Sighisoara, a very nice, comfortable hotel, with good restaurant for dinner and also good included breakfast. Emanuel quickly became a good friend, we really enjoyed his company, humour and assistance. We would recommend this tour to anyone and if you are lucky enough to get Emanuel, you're in for a special tour.
