  • Was a brilliant tour. Day one round Washington, day two - Arlington and Mount Vernon. Thoroughly recommended.

  • It was a great experience, and the drivers were absolutely wonderful. they were knowledgeable and adjusted beautifully to weather conditions and the desires of all of us on the trip. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting D.C.

  • This tour is well worth every dollar spent. The Washington DC tour was complete overview of the main sites in the area. The Arlington and Mount Vernon part of the tour was spectacular. Our driver on the Arlington/Mount Vernon tour was fabulous and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in a terrific overview of Washington DC and the surrounding areas.

  • This tour is was amazing and I loved all the stops, on my second day to Arlington and Mt Vernon, I think the stop times should have been more equally. I could have had more time at Arlington and less time at Mt Vernon.

  • Excellent tours. Both days. Different drivers. Both knowledgeable and enjoyable to listen to during our tour. Both went out of their way to add an extra stop for viewing. Each had 27 years experience giving tours of the city! . Gave recommendations throughout the tour to make our visit to D.C. more enjoyable. Only way to capture the full essence of the city and to appreciate all it has within it!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!

  • Would not recommend this tour, The first Day you got to Mount Vernon and Arlington Cemetery, the tour operator only takes you their and leaves you with Arlington tour guides , you don't get a lot of time to look around, its best to use public transport , buses go their often,at much cheaper rates, and to Mount Vernon again it at your own tour theirs no guide you do get a map showing you the layout of the land, the tour of George Washington's house is extra.Day two you tour the monuments, After a lunch break own expense, spend the afternoon at the National Air and Space Museum, featuring the largest collection of historic aircraft's and spacecrafts in the world or the National Museum of Natural History, with exhibits on geology, biology and natural history, plus an IMAX theater. this is not True they do not stop at these places but drive past them. Use the hop on hop off bus much cheaper goes to all the attractions with commentary , Do Arlington and Mount Vernon separately

  • First of all, I paid 300 for two tickets through Viator, only to find out I could have just waited to buy the tickets on site at the Greyline Bus office for 250. Then after entering the bus, I asked the couple behind me what they had paid for their ticket. They replied they had bought their two tickets for 210 through Orbitz. I guess the moral of the story is it pays to shop around.
As far as the tour itself, the two different drivers were very polite, accommodating, and informative. Cheryl was very funny and delightful. We did see a lot of sites but the visits at each site was very rushed. We had 40 minutes to see the Lincoln, Korean War, and Vietnam War memorials. In my opinion, this was not nearly enough time to pay proper respect to these memorials to our nations history. The Mt. Vernon tour was another example of not nearly enough time. The company needs to realize that these trips and tours may be a once in a lifetime event for many people and allow more time at each site.I personally believe the times are limited strictly due to the fact Greyline wants their buses back to Union Station by 4:00PM each day so they are not in the rush hour traffic.

  • We would have liked to have gone on just the Mount Vernon and Arlington tour with more time alloted at Mount Vernon. We had already seen many of the other stops on our own time. Also was disappointed that trip advisor said we would have a museum on our tour and that was not included with it. When we spoke to the bus company they said that they have asked trip advisor to take it off since it is not part of the two day tour.

  • My husband and I really enjoyed our 2-day tour experience with Grayline Tours. They were professional, courteous, and very knowledgeable about D.C.! I would highly recommend this company to others. Touring Mount Vernon was more then I expected. There was so much to see!

  • When booked trip, didn't realise that first day of trip was basically an open top bus tour. Driver was also guide and told things along the route. He was very informative and entertaining but was not what I was expecting. Having booked many Viator trips in many countries I was expecting an individual guide who got off bus with you and explained things along way. This happened on 2nd trip I booked whilst in Washington through Viator at the same time. I just presumed that all trips had their own individual guide and not the job to be the Bus Driver as well. Same happened on 2nd day of trip. Driver, even though excellent and very informative, did not get off the bus with you.
