Know More about this tour

Start this private tour at 8am with your qualified Egyptologist tour guide who will be waiting for you at your hotel's lobby with a signboard having your name. Get on your private, modern a/c van and proceed to the different sites.

Day 1: Dahshur, Saqqara and Giza

Your first stop will be Dahshur, where you will see the Red Pyramid (first true pyramid) and the Bent Pyramid (first attempt to build a true pyramid).

Then move on to Saqqara and explore the Step Pyramid Complex of King Zoser (oldest complete building of stone). Have a look at the Pyramid of Unas (first pyramid with texts inside), the causeway of Unas, the Pyramid of Userkaf, the Pyramid of Teti (accessible with pyramid texts inside) and the tomb of Kagemni in Saqqara (a noble man of the Old Kingdom 2200 B.C.).

Afterwards your guide will take you to Giza, where you will see the Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. Enjoy the scenery from the panoramic area and take a 30 min camel ride around the pyramids. Afterwards, explore the Valley Temple and take a closer look at the Great Sphinx. In the evening, enjoy the famous 'sound and light show' in Giza and learn about the history of the pyramids in Egypt.

Day 2: Cairo

Your first stop will be The egyptian museum. See the animal mummy room, the mummy portraits and King Tutankhamun's jewelry. Visit the Royal Mummy rooms (at extra cost) if you wish. Afterwards, sail on a Felucca on the Nile for one hour and enjoy the fresh breeze.

In the afternoon, proceed to Old Cairo and see the main sights, such as the Roman Fortress of Babylon and the Hanging church, the Church of Abu Serga, and the Jewish Synagogue of Ben Ezra. Explore the Citadel of Saladin and take some pictures of the panorama of the citadel, before exploring the mosque of Mohammed Ali Pasha inside the citadel.

Take a stroll over Cairo's biggest market, Khan El Khalili Bazaar, before proceeding to the port to board your dinner cruise ship. Enjoy a buffet dinner and be mesmerized by the oriental show.

You will be driven back to your accommodation both days after the tour is finished.

On this tour you will also have the chance to try authentic Egyptian food, such as 'koshary' (a mixture of lentils, rice and macaroni with a topping of tomato-vinegar sauce. There is a variation of spaghetti garnished with chickpeas and crispy fried onion. Garlic juice and hot sauce are optional additions), 'foul' (or 'ful medames', cooked fava beans served with oil, cumin and optional additions of parsley, garlic, onion, lemon juice and chili pepper) or 'falafel' (deep-fried patty made from ground fava beans served in a pita).

Cover everything in Cairo and perimeter within two days. Non stop action packed. May be hard for children or elderly as they are long days with walking, but you truly see most of it all. Recommend. Guide was M. Gouda and was very knowledgeable and worked with several colleagues for us to receive the upmost satisfaction.

First off, let me say that this tour was amazing. A huge thank you to our guide Yasser and Tam, our driver. How they can make maneuvering seem to easy, was amazing.

I wasn't sure what trip to do and wanted something sort of "all-inclusive" for highlights as I was taking my father as a semi-surprise trip. He knew he was coming to Egypt, but wasn't sure what we were going to do here. I wanted something memorable and once in a lifetime and this was it. Couldn't have been better.

I really wasn't sure what to expect but I liked the idea of having a private (not a shared tour) and something with hotel pick up. It's always an adjustment when visiting an area you aren't familiar with and often sharing the experience with large groups makes you feel rushed or having to stick to a specific itinerary. This was the perfect fit for us. I'd also like to point out that Yasser not only speaks English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and I'm sure I'm missing a few others. My father prefers speaking in Spanish so it was nice to have a guide that could explain things both in Spanish and English, perfectly. My father is hard to please - he was THRILLED.

Some of the highlights for us (as you can read the itinerary on the website itself) was the camel ride. We were able to ride the camels through the desert and that was an amazing experience. The camels are well cared for and being an animal lover, this was a huge plus for me. Please also remember that this was/is the mode of transportation for those to the area, as was the case historically.

Seeing the Sphinx and Great Pyramids (amongst the other pyramids) was absolutely inspiring. Having only seen pictures, being up close and touching the pyramids with my own hands was electric. Yasser also got us extremely close to the Sphinx as well.

There is a sound and light show at night which lasts for about an hour. You learn about the history of the Sphinx and Pyramids and they are lit up with different colors - great for the kids if you have them, but you also must listen to the story as it's narrated over speakers.

The dinner cruise was also pretty good. Nothing extravagant and if this were ala-carte, I'd probably skip it but as it was included, it was good.

I could go on and on (Viator won't let me) but just a great experience and would definitely recommend this trip to those looking for similar expectations. Thank you for an unforgettable trip!

Manar is hands down, the best tour guide I've ever had. My friend and I were blown away by her friendliness and how comfortable she made us feel. The tour was terrific, and Manar was not only knowledgeable and attentive, but really wanted to make sure that we were enjoying ourselves. She had just as much energy at the end of the day, as she did when she first picked us up. If we had time to kill in between activities, she'd always find something for us to do. We learned a lot, saw everything Giza and Cairo has to offer, and had such a wonderful time. I highly recommend this tour!

Our tour guide Radwan and driver Yasser made the absolute most of our two days in Cairo. Radwan’s knowledge of Egyptian history was immense and given to you in a clear, concise way. Better yet it was always with a welcoming smile. Truly a friendly pair of people to show you around the greater Cairo area. And you’ll be truly thankful to get a driver like Yasser to navigate the sometimes intense traffic of the city. If we could give him 10 stars we would :)

Excellent tour!! Made even better by guide Eraky! Very informative, friendly, patient, funny, kind. He was well known at all venues and welcomed. Highly recommend if you only have 2 days in Cairo. Note single female travelling alone and felt very safe and well taken care of.

Our 2 day tour in Cairo was by far the best ever. Besides offering so many of the key highlights of Cairo and Giza and Saqarra, we were so lucky to have an amazing tour guide Yasser and driver Ala for both days and Ahmed for the night tours.

The 2 day tour gives you everything you would want to experience in the area and more Pyramids, Sphinx, Cairo Museum, Papayrus factory, sailing down the Nile on a Falucca, a dinner cruise with a belly dancer show, touring the most famous Mosque in Cairo, a Coptic church and a synagogue and of course the Markets to shop.

The people are so welcoming and we always felt safe. Our Guide Yasser was a wealth of knowledge and he speaks about 5 languages fluently. He was energetic, funny and great company too! The guides have to know about 3000 years of Egyptian history and pass a test to be able to be guides. Our driver Ala picked us up both mornings at our hotel and our guides, Yasser and Ahmed stayed with us wherever we went even at lunch or at the light show in the evening. We were also able to change up the schedule of the day depending on how we were feeling or what we wanted to see.

We had an amazing time and would recommend this amazing experience to anyone thinking of coming to Egypt. Cant wait to come back and see them again in the future!

Worth every penny! Took the tour with my wife and we both enjoyed every bit of it. This tour was well organised and we got to see all the main attractions. Our experience was made even better by our very knowledgeable guide Manar and driver Hashem. We felt safe and well taken care of at all times by both. We highly recommend anyone travelling on a short stay to Cairo to book a tour rather than trying to navigate this very busy city where crossing the road can be a nightmare, its best to be guided professionally.

This tour was absolutely AMAZING from start to finish. With a very limited amount of time, I was able to see the highlights of Egypt and by the end I was so sad to leave. I was accompanied by an awesome, professional and fun team (day guide, evening guide, and driver) Manar is an incredibly knowledgeable and passionate Egyptologist (and great photographer, I might add!). Basem was the best driver and navigated the crazy Cairo roads like a pro.
Because of my departure flight, my tour had to be cut short so I was going to miss the dinner cruise but they surprised me and arranged lunch on the boat instead!! Overall, I cannot recommend this tour more highly. It made my trip to Egypt unforgettable. Don’t think twice - take this tour with Manar and Basem!

To sum this tour up in a few words... crash course on Cairo in 2 days. Our guide, Khaled M was personable, professional, knowledgeable and accommodating as he led us on a journey through Egyptian history and culture old and new. This tour allowed me to cross off almost all of the items on my must-see- while- in- Cairo- list, and then some. You will return to your hotel exhausted from your activity filled day, but fall asleep happy that you got your money's worth and excited for the next day's adventure with Khaled. Last but not least, I'd be remiss if i didn't mention our driver Yasir, who expertly navigated the streets of Cairo. He was always waiting with a smile to welcome us back to the cool van and put us at ease with his safe driving and friendly demeanor. If you're considering this tour, but are unsure... DO IT!... and ask for Khaled M and Yasir! You won't be disappointed!

A most enjoyable couple of days! Our visit in Egypt was short but not short of seeing and enjoying what Egypt has to offer. It was easy, stress free and all was taken care of by our tour guide Zenab and the driver who were both very friendly and accommodating to our requirements. We enjoyed every minute of what this two day tour had to offer. It was set at a most comfortable pace with many options offering a diverse experience. The pyramids, the museum, the markets.....all were absolutely amazing! The lunches were great. The Nile cruise dinner was very entertaining and the Felucca on the Nile was very relaxing. Our afternoon breaks including the sound and light show at the Sphinx were great. Zenab ensured at all times we arrived on time to events to ensure we had the best seating. She constantly enquired about our preferences and advised us accordingly to ensure we experienced what we preferred the most and her knowledge about Egypt... provided a better insight to our trip. A most highly recommended tour!
