Get picked up from your hotel andhead towards the Andes and the Cajn del Maipo area, 31 miles (50 kilometers) from Santiago. The road skirts the Maipo River, which offers a great view over the foothills of the Andes. After one hour, the tour continues by ascending to the El Yeso area, situated 62 miles (100 kilometers) from Santiago and at an altitude of 8,200 feet (2,500 meters).
