The garden complex is situated on the left bank of Yamuna opposite to Taj Mahal. It is a huge square measuring approximately 984 x 984 ft (300 x 300 m) and in straight alignment with the Taj Mahal. The forestry plantations and agricultural fields provide a green forecourt to Taj Mahal and its reflection in Yamuna.

Your second option would allow you to enjoy shopping in Agra, known for its fabulous handicrafts made of marble and soft stone inlay work. The Mughals were great patrons of arts and crafts. Empress Nur Jahan took personal interest and was an accomplished artist herself in zari embroidery work. My partner and I booked this tour as we had a short stay in Delhi and wanted to see the sights in Agra whilst there. I really recommend it - everything went smoothly. Our driver and tour guide were excellent. The hotel stay was very comfortable and had spa facilities, which we made use of! We had flexibility to go for any of the shopping excursions or decline as we preferred. Our guide knew all the best spots for photos and was very knowledgeable about all the sites - visits were planned at the best time of day to avoid the crowds.

My friend and I recently visited India and took this tour. As two females travelling alone, safety was most important to us. We were highly pleased with our decision to book with Viator who arranged everything for us with the local Tour Operator, Nikita Holidays. Our Driver, named Prem, was excellent. He was prompt and friendly, pointing out sites along the way on the drive from Delhi. Once in Agra we met up with our Tour Guide named Rajesh, who was also excellent. He provided lots of information on the sites as well as the culture and background, and made sure that we got to see what was of interest to us. This was a totally enjoyable tour. I highly recommend it.

Our tour to Agra was amazing. Our tour guide, Rajesh Kumar was extremely knowledgeable about Agra and informative about the Taj Mahal and the history behind the monument. He was also very friendly and kind. The hotel went above our expectations. We would definitely consider booking a tour again!

If in Delhi then take time to go to Agra and the Taj Mahal. We did this and everything about the trip was just about perfect. Before leaving Delhi by car we had been in contact with the CEO, Raj, of the tour operator. He kept us informed of pick-up times, names etc. After our driver, Hari, collected us there was a 3hr. trip to Agra. We were booked into the Crystal Sarovar Premiere Hotel. This was a good hotel with an swimming pool etc. We were greeted by our guide, Rejesh. For the rest of the day and the following day we saw the Taj Mahal at sunset and during the day. We also saw Agra Fort. The guide explained the history during the sightseeing and how some of the art work was created. We were taken to just two crafts shops. Both of these were extremely interesting and at no time did we think we were being pushed into buying anything.

The drive there and back was educational and interesting. Traffic in Delhi just crazy. An expressway for most of the journey which had very little traffic. It gave a good over-view of India.

Everything about this trip was excellent. Anybody booking this trip would be really lucky to get the service, the guide and driver we had.

First off, our driver, Vipin, was wonderful! Easily would have been 5 stars if he were the whole deal, but alas we had to deal with Rishi our pushy guide.

    Pros:
1 The Taj Mahal is incredible -- a must see!
2 The Mehtab Bagh has fantastic views of the Taj Mahal, do not miss, but try to get your guide to take you back at moonlight
2 The Agra Fort is perhaps the best fort palace in India.
3 Vipin was fantastic and his cab came with free working wifi.
4 The Trident is a nice hotel, just bad timing for us with the off season
5 The drive from Delhi is fascinating, lots to look at and film!

    CONS:
1 Rishi was super pushy towards sales - we assumed he must make a commission too
2 Rishi did not listen to us, it did seem he liked to listen to himself
3 Rishi tried to force us to write reviews
4 Same restaurant twice, give your customers some variety
5 Restaurant smelled strongly of pesticide
6 Bad luck put us in the hotel with lots of children screaming in the halls until late
7 We felt hurried the whole time. We purchased a tour to see the Unesco sites, not to view local crafts. We should have been allowed to explore and enjoy the sites instead of taken to high pressure craft stores
