Very moving. Crowded house tours were very flexable in arranging for us to also see British/Comonwealth and Turkish cemeteries and monuments. Troy was very disappointing as our guide at Troy was only really interested in selling items from his shop at the entrance.

Great tour company with excellent tour guide Burak, providing excellent information on both sites, was able to provide so much more including maps and pictures to support what he advised, great attention to detail

Fantastic tour, Burak our guide was very informative, & also laid back. Not the formal tour guide just reciting facts. Great finding out more in depth knowledge about Gallipoli. His local & insider knowledge & contacts (i.e. mates) meant we got a bit of insider info about the archological digs at Troy too. Although the trip from Istanbul was long, the van was very modern & comfortable. Only negative is the hotel in Canukkale was above a nightclub, so was really noisy till the wee small hours. Lovely team all round. Thanks to the awesome guide who carried my heavy luggage back to Istanbul too😊

We booked the Gallipoli Pilgrimage 2D1N trip with Intrepid. But the local tour operator was Crowded House Tours. 6am pick up from Istanbul hotel, with an impromptu “free city tour” as we were driven around in the shared mini bus collecting our fellow travellers. Along the way, we had a brief 30min break for absolutions and snacks. Then headed for HQ of Crowded House Tours at Eceabat. We were sent off to lunch in a nearby restaurant before we were bundled off in different mini buses for on our Gallipoli tour. By the time the tour starts, it was the hottest part of the day. Our tour guide, Ibrahim was conscious of the fact and made sure whenever he had to provide information & history of the sights, he found us shady spots where we were out of the shearing heat of the Sun. Ibrahim was so knowledgeable and funny which made the trip very enjoyable. After the tour, we were shuttled back to Crowded House Tours and sent off on different groups again - some were heading straight back to Istanbul and others off to Cannakale for overnight stay. We booked the overnight accommodation option so we were escorted by Ibrahim to the Eceabat ferry pier (300m walk). The short ferry ride (about 20 minutes) to Cannakale was pleasant, albeit quite crowded, but there was air conditioning and seats. Then it was a short walk (250m) to our hotel, Grand Anzac Hotel. Ibrahim pointed out the various things to do and see in Cannakale and even offered very good suggestions for food. The hotel was good, had working air conditioning, good shower and comfortable bed. But like most hotels we’ve encountered in Turkey, they all smell heavily of cigarettes smoke, even though they are all “non-smoking” rooms. Breakfast was included and check out was 12pm. We had the option of going on the Troy Ancient tour but it starts around 12-1pm. So decided against it as again it will be in the midst of the hottest part of the day! Instead had a free relaxing day to explore Cannakale before the late afternoon pick up to return to Eceabat by ferry to catch our shared mini bus back to Istanbul. Lucky we were 3rd drop off which delivered us back to our hotel around 10:30pm. I would definitely recommend doing this trip but definitely opt for the overnight stay as returning to Istanbul on the same day for 2 lots of 6 hour drive is way is too long in my opinion.

This was awesome, guides very knowledgeable and passionate about what they do. Would highly recommend this tour. If you go in summer don't forget your sunscreen.

We had a two day trip from Istanbul to Troy and Gallipoli. Picked up at our hotel early in the morning we had a stop off before continuing to our destination where we enjoyed dinner and then we were taken to our tour in Troy. While it was only a two hour tour it was interesting and we did this as Gallipoli was our main interest and we wanted to stay overnight and not have two four bus trips on the one day. Afterwards we were transferred to our hotel in Cannakele for an overnight stay. We spent the morning there before being escorted across the ferry where we had a dinner and on to Gallipoli. It was all we imagined. Our tour guide (sorry I think his name was Bulant) was knowledgeable friendly and informative and made the day most enjoyable. A day to remember. Returned to Istanbul by bus. Ramazan was always on hand to answer any query by email and I would highly recommend Crowded House tours. Thank you

The Gallipoli tour was amazing, and more time should be allowed to enable all of the information to "sink in". The tour guide Charlie was terrific, but a little repetitive. The overnight accommodation was very basic, A night club next door meant "boom boom" noise to the early hours. The tour of Troy was very interesting, but only took 2 hours. The morning was wasted so this tour should include a visit to the Troy Museum. Of course the dirty habbit of smoking was terrible in Turkiye and is out of control. More information about the drive to and from Istanbul would be helpful, regarding stops or no stops.

Crowded house were exceptionally slick. We meet so many people with different requirements. Don't be afraid to ask for a deviation from the tour. We met people who were going onto different destinations. I'm sure that they will able to meet your requirements. The tour is restricted to the areas where Australians and New Zealanders fought. As a Brit I would have liked to see the British landing areas but the vast majority of customers are from Australia and New Zealand. This area obviously means so much to them it would be churlish to complain about this and I only mention this to manage expectations.

We were picked up in Istanbul at 6.30am, stopping briefly for breakfast, before arriving in Eceabat for lunch. We then did a tour of Ancient Troy. Our guide was very informative and also showed us on the way to our overnight hotel good places to eat dinner. The following morning was free to wander Cannakale before we were again picked up and taken to lunch before starting our tour of Gallipoli. Our guide Burak was exceptional and quickly developed a good banter with all of us. What was most impressive was the effort that Crowded House went to to locate a relative of mine who had died on the peninsula. I sent my relatives name to Ramazan who passed it onto our guide. When we arrived he had printed a photo and 6 pages of military information. He showed me the places he had fought and explained the battles then he took us to his final resting place at Lone Pine. I cannot explain how moving this was. The effort and detail that this tour company went to will never be forgotten. I cannot thank Ramazan and Burak enough. In addition we also organised a 1/2 day tour of Istanbul. Our guide Hydra was also excellent, very friendly and highly informative. I cannot recommend Crowded House Tours enough.

Discuss with Crowded House Tours what Hotel options are available. We were in the high night-life area at Canakkale, hence noise kept us awake until 2am. After getting up early for 6.30am pick up, this was disappointing. Overall however the tour was excellent. Lunch provided was fantastic prior to setting off to Gallipoli Our guide for Gallipoli tour was Charlie. Charlie provided knowledge and a great understanding of all the places we visited with regards to ANZAC / British / Turkish perspective. We were provided plenty of time to explore each area. Anzac Cove , Trenches, The Nek, Lone Pine, Turkish Cemetery and memorial and the final objective of the campaign. Troy tour of the ruins was again very informative with a local guide. Small Spriner van rather than a large coach made the group small and allowed a quicker trip to and from Istanbul.
