The Louve is magnificent the skip the line tickets a must. The Big Bus however had bad audio couldn’t hear at times and the station kept changing to French when I wanted English. The drivers not very friendly either. I liked what I did hear and see.

We were in Paris in Aug, where its daylight till 9-9.30PM. The instructions mentions to go to Pyramids office first - Please remember this...
Staying near Notre Dame, we went to a nearby office, and we were kicked out and asked to go to the Pyramids office, case close.... your are not a customer until you go to the Pyramid's office exchange Viator barcode with another one and take this voucher back to the big bus office and exchange for a ticket.

yes... we spent almost 30 euros in public transportation as were on our own (NO COMPLEMENTORY USE OF THE BIG BUS FOR A HARD DATED TICKET... NO SERVICE). Finally after spending money on transportation and knowing the subway system -- we realized that we could have saved a lot of money instead of wasting on Big Bus.

    The reasons -
First of all the last bus runs from the interchange at 6.40 pm, while its daylight in Paris unit 9.30 pm.
The drop off and Pick up spots are very hard to find - you need to look at maps and guess the streets - they are not marked and conveniently located like the Open Tour bus we saw...

Hop on and hop off on the Big Bus involves many things and lot of time - knowing where it stops - I could use public transportation much faster...
You will need to use public transportation to get to Pyramids and go back -- spend a few more euros and saving money here is a lot better option.

The 6.40 pm last departure handicapped us a lot (Yes they pick you from Eiffel tower at 8.10 pm last, however that's true only if you are there). We landed up taking public transportation - easy to use and lot more flexibility and options.

Guess we made a horrible choice going with Big Bus.

For anyone planning to use Big Bus, a suggestion, please plan a lot before using this service - you need to know how you are going to use this.... rather than the service providing value you need to take more ownership.

The Plus side was ease of Louvre tickets and access.

The Louvre entrance was great, but the Big Red Bus wasn't. It skip the explanation on many points, where we were hoping to listen to some history or info. We tool the Red Line at the Eiffel Station, hop off at the Louvre to take the Blue Line. The Blue line it s less popular but a great add, it only hsve 3 stops, but you only can take the bus back (hop on) at the 3rd station, and for that one is a long walk. We ended up taking the Metro up to Arc Triumph, then after walking Champ Ulysses, we wanted to take the Red Bus back to Eiffel but after waiting 20 minutes and not seeing the bus anywhere close we took the Metro again. It was a waste of our money.
