Overview

In this 2-day guided excursion, we drive our quads from Ait Ben Haddou, passing through some Berber villages which are famous for wild Saffron growing in the surrounding. Enjoying a panorama view of the Siroua massif, we arrive in Taznakht, a village famous for traditional carpet made by local Berbers. On our way back, we will pass through Ouarzazate and visit the largest film studio in Africa.

Day 1: Ait Ben haddou to Taznakht via Siroua massif (100km)
We leave Ait Ben Haddou and drive our quads south on a winding trail across the Anti-Atlas mountains, the Siroua massif, a famous growing place of Saffron where you have the option to stop at the local co-operative to buy some at reasonable price. Then we continue to Taznakht village, famous for carpet made by local Berbers in Morocco. Overnight at hotel in Taznakht. (L, D)

Day 2: Taznakht to Ait Ben Haddou via Ouarzazate (110km)
After breakfast in Taznakht hotel, we take our quads southeast towards Ouarzazate, a famous area for cinema filming in Morocco and Africa. During our drive, we will have a magnificent panarama view of the High Atlas's Mgoun mountain range with its snow-covered peak. We will stop in Ouarzazate to visit the cinema studio before returning to Ait Ben Haddou. (B, L)
