Overview

View the highlights of Zurich in two hours on this small-group walking tour. Stroll around the famous Bahnhofsstrasse, Lindenhof, and Lake Zurich, and see the Grossmnster and stained glass windows by Marc Chagall at the Fraumnster. Discover Zurichs surprising past and stories on route, and visit quirkier spots including the street where Lenin lived, and the caf-gallery that gave rise to the Dadaist art movement. Numbers are limited to a maximum of 12.

Know More about this tour

Choose a 10am or 3pm departure, and meet your guide and small group of no more than 12 at Zurichs Main Station for your 2-hour tour.

Delve into downtown Zurich, and stroll along its best-known street, the Bahnhofstrasse. This traffic-free, 19th-century boulevard was designed by Arnold Brkli along the Parisian model, and is one of Europes most exclusive shopping streets.

Pass the upscale stores, and head into Zurich Old town to the Lindenhof, one of the citys prettiest squares. Absorb the panoramic views from here over the River Limmat and 12th-century Grossmnster.

Walk by the riverside and visit the 11th-century Fraumnster church (own expense), viewing its stained-glass windows by Marc Chagall. See St. Peter's Church, adorned with Europes largest clock face, and walk by Lake zurich, admiring the views.

Learn the history of the landmarks, and hear about one of Zurichs most colorful sons, a pivotal figure in Switzerlands 16th-century Protestant Reformation.

Visit the Cabaret voltaire caf-gallery (own expense) where the Dadaist art movement began in 1916, and see the street where Russian revolutionary Vladimir Lenin lived before traveling to his homeland to lead the 1917 uprising.

After two hours, your tour concludes in Zurich center when your guide departs.

Victor was super nice to us and very knowledgeable. The 2 hr tour ended up being 3.5 hrs and we were exhausted.

We really enjoyed our guide and learning a number of things on this tour. It was well organized and helped to orient us to Zurich where we would be spending some extra time after a longer trip in several other countries.

On a cold rainy morning we met up with natalja . A lovely young lady who took us just 2 of us for a walking tour of her city. Very knowledgeable and explained the buildings with complete history. We did wander off the track a couple of times and aired our views with her on swiss banking and the refugee system and education . She was very happy to talk on these subjects which made this a lovely educational walk. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has two hours to spare. Actually by the time we left her we ran to nearly three hours.

Great tour and a way to get to know the city, it's history and explore. Tour guide was lovely and the 2 hours passed quick because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Would definitely recommend.

This was a great tour. We were staying in Lucerne and wanted to Visit Zurich for the day. We took the train to Zurich which was a breeze and meet our guide inside the train station in Zurich. Our tour guide was great and very knowledgeable. He walked us around to all the important sites and filled us in on all of the historical information regarding the sites. I would highly recommend this tour if you are visiting Zurich or even one of the nearby cities!

Our guide, Maria did a great job. This is a good way get to know Zurich when you first get there. You can revisit places later, I would recommend to anyone who has not been to Zurich as this get you acquainted with the key points of interest in the altstadt. We did have a quick rain shower on the walk, be sure to bring an umbrella.

Maria did a great job! She knows the city very well and was chatty and happy to share information on any questions asked. Our group was small and everyone had a great time. She ended the tour with some chocolate!! Definitely worth it! The train station where you meet is very, very large! You actually meet right under the art work of the Angel in the station.

    Thank you very much!

We could have done this tour on our own with a map. The guide, while he was very pleasant, was not very informative.
