Enjoy the freedom to discover South Africa at your own pace with this unique 21 day pass hop-on hop-off door-to-door bus service. Travel everywhere between Cape Town and Johannesburg through the Garden Route, the Wild Coast and the Drakensberg area.

You plan your own route, decide where to start, which stops you would like to make, where you finish your trip and how much time you want to spend in each town. Your ticket will only expire 21 day after your first day of travel.

Travel in the comfort of a 19 seater semi-luxury bus in the company of fellow travelers who share your passion for exploring and adventure. Convenient pickup and drop-off are available from the door of more than 200 establishments (from backpacking hostels to guest houses and hotels) located in 40 different cities, towns and villages between Cape Town and Johannesburg.

Choose your desired pick-up and drop-off points from a list of over 180 backpacking hostels in Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and dozens of smaller towns along the way. Enjoy the flexibility to get on and off as many times as you want, wherever you want, in any direction, within 21 consecutive day. Either pre-book all of your stretches in advance or book each section of your itinerary as you travel if you prefer to be more spontaneous (at least 72 hours notice is recommended).

Reserve your desired bus rides with the local tour operator by providing your name, ticket number, departure date, pick-up hostel and drop-off point. You will be given a confirmation number for each stretch. Buses only run during the days and not during nights. Buses are 22 seater semi-luxury buses with onboard TV, DVD players and trailers capable of carrying surfboards and bicycles.

Please note that Port Elizabeth and Durban are compulsory overnight stopovers. All accommodation needs to be booked directly with the hostels of your choice.

Also note that some of the locations shown on the map with dotted lines are only accessible through the use of independent shuttle services (not included in the ticket price) which link to the bus route. If you require shuttle services, you will need to pre-arrange them directly with the hostel offering the service.

Cape Town
Cape Town is South Africa’s 2nd largest city and offers the most diverse range of attractions, sights and activities to offer. It’s been dubbed as the ‘New York’ of Africa with a bustling and modern city centre to sights as diverse as Table Mountain, Robben Island and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Cape Town’s attractions cover the natural world and the country’s fascinating history in equal measure. The city is the hub of various cutting edge scenes.

Stellenbosch
Just a short distance from Cape Town, this is South Africa’s 2nd oldest town. It’s virtually surrounded by beautiful mountains such as the Helderberg mountain and Simonsberg mountain. Stellenbosch Wine Routes was the first wine route ever formed in South Africa and is now the largest of all the South African wine routes. It was also voted South Africa's favorite wine route and is also a university town offering a vast experience.

Hermanus
Not only does this modern town showcase the charm and beauty of the Overberg, Hermanus is the Whale Watching capital of the world. Whale season usually starts as early as June and ends in early December. During summer and autumn it’s known for its unforgettable holiday experiences from impressive scenery to spot cheap activities. This town has something for everyone.

Swellendam
Rich in history and known for its majestic beauty, Swellendam is one South Africa’s oldest towns. This town has loads to offer from impeccable scenery and wine tasting to a fascinating fairy sanctuary for the kids. Whether you’re a history buff or just interested on a new perspective on Swellendam it's definitely worth exploring.

Mossel Bay
This town is the start of South Africa’s stirring region, the Garden route. Mossel Bay is a coastal town best known for its stunning beaches and unique natural beauty. This town is jam packed with adventure, culture that stretches over 164 00 years old, modern infrastructure and admirable scenery.

George / Oudtshoorn
George is ideal to explore the regions many variant and diverse scenic wonders. Although one would think it’s mainly popular for its impeccable scenery this town is also well known for its sports, such as big matches during the 7's rugby. Oudtshoorn is one of the coolest little towns in South Africa, popular for the Cango Caves as well as being the Ostrich Capital of the world, this town offers a bit of everything for everyone like riding an Ostrich to hiking to waterfalls.

Knysna
This is the heart of the Cape Wildflower floral kingdom. Situated between lush forests and the shores of a peaceful lagoon, it offers many activities and attractions of a wide variety. The most well known attraction is two great sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon which connects the estuary with the sea. A lookout has been put together on the eastern head showcasing spectacular views of the lagoon, Leisure Isle and Knysna.

Plettenberg Bay
Plettenberg Bay is like a small piece of the Cape Peninsula cut away and secreted along a discrete piece of beautiful coastline. With a pretty cool island to explore, up market restaurants and plenty of wildlife and activities Plettenberg is a great place to escape to and experience the best of both worlds.

Jeffrey's Bay
Jeffrey’s Bay is a beautiful coastal town, renowned for its surfing culture, and laid back, relaxed atmosphere. Jeffrey’s Bay offers many exciting activities, awesome shopping opportunities at the local factory shops, legendary parties and so many funky and friendly people to meet.

Port Elizabeth
Known as South Africa’s ‘Friendly’ city, this city offers a diverse selection of attractions and things to do and mainly it’s a family-fun destination with Eco attractions, wildlife and cultural experiences, scenic nature trails as well as over 40 km of breathtaking coastlines and beaches.

Port Alfred
This area has an amazing active shifting dune field system in the world, visible from space, this is the perfect spot for sandboarding. There is a narrow stretch of pristine indigenous forests at Woody Cape, home to many naturally occurring mammals and a diversity of bird-life. It is one of the most important chicory producing areas in South Africa and has numerous historical buildings

East London
This is South Africa’s only river port city set on the Buffalo River and one of the most attractive stretches of the Eastern Cape seaboard. East London’s sweeping white beaches extend for miles, unpolluted, uncrowded and unspoiled. This is the perfect city to escape and unwind.

Chintsa
This town is the start of one of South Africa’s most cultural region, Home to the Xhosa tribe this region is as authentic as it gets. Experience Xhosa villages on a breathtaking lagoon with major sand dunes and hills. This is one of those towns where you can escape from the world and simply explore.

Bulungula
This is one of our country’s top ethical and eco-friendly experiences. Your hosts are the Nqileni community, one of the biggest Xhosa villages in the region. This is one of those opportunities to explore one of the best cultural experiences of your life. Here’s a huge variety of things to do like experiencing the daily life of the tribe, beach activities, brew local beer, explore the forests and collect herbs with the traditional healer or horse back over hills of paradise. Coffee Bay

Port St. Johns

This is prime hiking place, with silent forests and trails with more than 250 species of birds. There are also many other things the town has to offer such as canoe trips, horse trails, golf, dolphin and whale watching and some excellent deep sea and shore fishing

Durban
Durban is the third largest city in South Africa with the largest port in Africa. Home to the largest number of people of Indian descent outside of India, Durban also boasts an unmistakably Asian feel, with the marketplaces and streets of the Indian area replete with the sights, sounds and scents of the subcontinent. The city is also home to our Zulu tribe so often it would be referred to as the Zululand. Durban is a pretty much a mixed bag of diversity and also the cheapest.

Northern/ Southern Drankensberg
The majestic Drakensberg is a mountain of contrasts, from peaks rising up to over 3000 meters to gentle and rolling foothills that create a sea of green. The Drakensberg or rather ‘Dragon Mountain’ was first called uKhahlamba by the Zulu meaning "barrier of spears" is known for its craggy peaks. Sheer cliffs, tumbling streams and crystal clear rock pools combine to create an outdoor haven. This is a place of crisp mountain air and natural beauty at its best.

Johannesburg
South Africa's largest city, This multi-cultural and cosmopolitan vibe city is known for its incredible nightlife. If a party is what you’re looking for then this is the place to be. If you prefer to just vibe from township tours to South Africa's largest township Soweto, shopping up a storm at any of the many designer malls such as Sandton city to doing a bungee jump at the Orlando towers, Johannesburg has it all.
