  We had a perfect 2D1N trip with Rucksack Kayaking! It was literally everything we were looking for! The trip started with a visit to the Orangutan Sanctuary, where we were lucky to see one female. Then, we were transported to the kayaks. The kayaking was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed spending time outside without any other tourists in sight. Also, the food we got for lunch was basic, but delicious! Then, we were brought to our homestay. The homestay was by far the best homestay I have ever done. The host family was very very (!) friendly and welcoming. He spoke perfect English, so he could explain everything we wanted to know. We were also invited to a family gathering which was very interesting. Half of the village assembled to pray for a sick member and heaps of food was served afterwards. The people were all so warm-hearted and kind. We really enjoyed their company. Thank you! The next day, we hiked to a waterfall with the host. Also very beautiful with no other people around! He cooked lunch for us on the open fire with bamboo and it was yummy! The transport back to Kuching also worked without problems and we were back in time.. All in all, I would really recommend this package. Obviously, you should not expect a luxury stay. There are quite a lot of insects and everything is rather basic. But in my opinion, that makes the experience even better (and a lot more adventurous). Also, it was so nice to be in the village / rainforests without the crowd of tourists you would normally expect. So, if you're looking for an authentic 2-days trip around Kuching, this is the thing to do!

  Samen met mijn vriend deze trip geboekt via rainforest kayaking. Goed contact en duidelijke informatie verstrekking. Leuke combinatie van activiteiten; orang-oetans bezoeken, kayaken, longhouse toer, local food eten, avond entertaining van een locaal muziek instrument, overnachten bij het longhouse, hiking stukje met gids naar prive waterval, luchen bij de waterval met een local bereide maaltijd van de gids in bamboe gekookt en tot slot langs de hotspring! Het stuk kayaken is goed te doen in een prachtig stuk natuur. De gids adviseerde ons om niet zo snel te willen gaan maar echt te genieten van de omgeving ^^ Ook in de omgeving van het longhouse is de natuur erg mooi en rustig. Onze gastheer Ringen was super vriendelijk en vertelde graag over zijn stam en geschiedenis. Al met al; echte aanrader! Money well spend.

  Organized a weekend with 9 friends from Singapore, and couldn't be easier with the exceptional service we were given. We were collected by our friendly driver on Saturday morning from Kuching centre. The group was shown around Semenggoh orangutan sanctuary where we saw wild orangutans feeding. The driver was so helpful to drop and collect one of our group to clinic when they had medical emergency, so they could continue on weekend. We then drove to kayak start point where we were guided along beautiful jungle scenery on the river. We stopped at a local village for a nice lunch and tour around. The kayaking trip ended in the afternoon and the driver met us again to take us to Anna Rais longhouse. After a short drive we were dropped to door of Macheree Homestay in the Anna Rais longhouse community and were greeted by our very welcoming family. A nice surprise was that we had the top level of the house to our group. After freshening up and shown to our rooms (basic but clean and comfortable), the owner gave us an outline of our itinerary at the longhouse and a thorough tour of the unique community. During the evening we were served plentiful local food for dinner, drank local rice wine and were treated to local music and dancers, which we got to join in. Sunday morning after breakfast, we geared up for a jungle hike to a magnificent waterfall. We really enjoyed swimming and basking in the beauty while our guides cooked up a wonderful bamboo picnic lunch. Our family then took us to a further excursion in the afternoon to two wild swimming locations in fresh water and hot springs. The driver collected us for a quick transfer to Kuching airport for our flight back in evening. A very memorable day! Overall, the whole weekend was packed with very unique experiences, and everything was organised seamlessly for us. Rucksack make it easy, with all of this in one booking. Perfect weekend for friends/family who are adventurous and would like to explore some of real Borneo through activities.
