Itinerary:Day 1: Athens – Corinth Canal – Mycenae – Epidaurus – Nauplia/Olympia (D)
Set off from Athens in the morning and head along the mainland coast to Corinth Canal by coach. Linking the Saronic Gulf with the Gulf of Corinth, the canal is steep-sided and narrow, making it a favorite spot for thrill-seeking bungee jumpers. After stopping to see this impressive canal, your tour continues to the seaside town of Nauplia for a walk, and then continue by coach to Mycenae for a walking tour of its archaeological site. Learn about the Classical Greece era from your guide, hearing tales of the period’s strong influence on the Roman Empire. Here, enjoy free time for lunch (own expense) at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the archaeological site of Epidaurus. Enjoy a guided tour around its evocative ruins, and see the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Sanctuary of Asklepios (the shrine to the Greek god of medicine) and the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus.
Enjoy your evening in Nauplia or Olympia (depending on travel date) at leisure after dinner in your hotel.
Overnight: Amalia (4-star hotel) in Nauplia or Olympia
Day 2: Nauplia/Olympia – Antirion – Delphi (B, D)
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel and then meet your guide for a morning tour of Olympia’s archaeological site. In the times of Classical Greece, the site attracted pilgrims who gathered around the Atlis (Sanctuary of the Gods) to worship the Greek god Zeus. See fascinating ruins like the Stadium of Olympia, where Greece’s ancient Olympic Games took place.
After spending your morning in Olympia, and perhaps taking lunch at leisure, hop back on board your coach for the drive to Antirion, passing Patras on the way. Cross over the incredible Rion-Antirion Bridge – considered an architectural icon of 21st-century Greece and pass by town of Nafpaktos. Your day finishes with a relaxing meal in your Delphi hotel.
Overnight: Parnassos or Hermes (3-star), or Amalia (4-star) in Delphi
Day 3: Delphi – Athens (B)
Set off early with your friendly guide to explore Delphi’s archaeological site – one of the most important in Europe. As you walk around this intriguing UNESCO World Heritage site with your guide, see monuments like the Sanctuary of Athena and the Temple of Apollo.
In the late morning visit Delphi Archaeological Museum to see countless numbers of artifacts and relics – many of them dating back to 15th-century BC. As you walk ‘round at leisure, look out for must-see pieces including the Charioteer of Delphi, the Sphinx of Naxos and the marble statue of Antonius (a beloved friend of Emperor Hadrian).
After enjoying lunch at leisure in Delphi, you’ll return to Athens by coach, arriving in the early evening.

This was an excellent tour with a very good guide. She was very interesting and made everything easy for us. Worth getting a little bit fitter especially for Delphi as there is quite a climb to the theatre and gymnasium. Well worth the effort.
We upgraded to first class on this trip, assuming that it really meant better lodging and service. Instead, we found that EVERYONE had the same lodging and benefits regardless of whether or not they paid extra for first class. This is apparently just a scam to get more money for the same service (verified by other people on the trip.
LODGING - Had we known that we would have been stuck in 2 or 3 star hotels that were affiliated with the tour company, and, that were located in remote areas, we would not have booked this tour. The hotel on the first night was in a very remote location with nothing around the hotel so we were captive to the one location. We expected more. For the second night, the hotel was a bare bones room overlooking a weeded and dirty area between two wings of the hotel. The room and the decor in the hotel hallways were reminiscent of a prison.
THE TOUR- The tour guide often droned on and on about trivial history or artifacts. In one case, he actually spoke in a museum for more than 30 minutes about a piece of concrete with a few stones in the concrete. In addition, making "rest" stops at places that sell certain products like olive oil, or, stopping at places for lunch that offer limited options is not what we signed up or paid for.
We would never recommend this tour company to anyone. We will post this comment on line if you don't hear from the tour company.
My family really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide was THE BEST!! So knowledgeable!!!! Learned so much! It was well worth the price. Highly recommended!
The time at Olympia was a little too short, taking into account it was 35 degrees and you have to slow down in the heat. The other destinations the time was sufficient. The Mercedes bus was very comfortable and there were spare seats to spread out. A/c worked well. The Amalie Hotels were comfortable , food very good except for Delphi were there wasn't tea and coffee facilities in the room. The Guide was very excellent in her history. The only negative thing was no bottled water was provided in the mini van which we thought was unusual for 3 day tour as we have done many similar tours world wide.
This was an excellent tour, taking in four UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Amalia Hotels were very comfortable and the tour included entry to all sites. Our guide Joy was, well, a joy. She was energetic, personable, a good organiser and shared a wealth of information about all the sites as well as more general information about Greece. I could not possibly have done this trip independently for the price offered by CHAT tours.
This tour may have been better if the tour guide hadn’t been so rude to other visitors and tours at every site we visited. Delphi was probably the only site worth visiting.
For years, I had been wanting to visit Greece, especially to see the ancient ruins. On this tour, I was able to do so. My mind was blown away by the amazing archaeological sites we visited!!! Having an outstanding tour guide like Joy, amplified my experience in every way. She conducted the tour so smoothly with lots of details about our daily activities and passionately shared her knowledge of greek history, culture, and mythology with the group. Because of those things, she inspired me to learn more about Greece as well as to return again to take another tour with Chat Tours. Aloha Joy! Thank you for an amazing time!!! See you on my next trip to Greece!
I booked this trip as a solo traveler. I am a 24 year old female. My group consisted of families and retired couples but I didn't have any trouble fitting it. It was a great way to see as much as possible in a short period of time. The buses, hotels, and tour guides were all very nice. The tour ran flawlessly. The food served in the hotels was adequate - nothing special. It was a great value for the price! I would definitely recommend.
Stefani is an excellent guide - very knowledgeable and she made it all interesting! And she welcomed questions. The sights were all amazing - this was the best way to see so much!
The 3 days were well planned and not too hectic. Our bus driver, George, was a great driver. The bus was very comfortable and having Wifi most of the time was a big plus!
Both hotels were very comfortable, spacious and quiet. And the meals, though identical, were good. We appreciated all the fresh veggies!
We’ve used Viator 3 previous times, and we won’t hesitate to use them again!
Great tour, loved the sites. The tour guide Joy was well informed and friendly. Loved the bus driver. Hotel food and staff were nice.
