Overview

Enjoy this spectacular 3-day getaway to the River Kwai! Stay at the amazing River Kwai Resotel.

Spend time at the bridge of River Kwai, visit the POW Cemetery of Kanchanaburi, ride the train over part of the Death Railway, visit Hellfire Pass, observe a Mon Tribal Village, Jungle Trek, and more!(

01 Jan-30 Jun 2018 Hellfire Pass Interpretative Centre (the museum) will be closed for renovations, however, visits will still go ahead to the actual location to see Hellfire Pass. Then a visit will be made to Sir Weary Dunlops Park at the nearby Home Phutoey River Kwai Resort. Due to its similar historical thread it is believed that this is a suitable alternative to the museum while it is closed.)

Well organised, efficient pick up. Helpful staff throughout. Would have liked a little more time at the Museums. Return trip lengthier with traffic issues into the city of Bangkok. All other activities wonderful.

We were lucky to pick a time when there were few people staying at the resort. We were in groups of 7 and at most 9. Great EU folks in our group! Our guide was Mr. Bobo. He was a great host, very accommodating. He speaks English well. If you opt for a massage, skip Thai and go right for the hot oil (#8). Well worth the extra few Baht. We spent only 3 days. But there are enough activities for 4 or 5 days. Food was very good with plenty of choices. Drinks are extra. Bed was firm and a little sunken. For only 2 nights, it was fine. The traditional dance was the weakest program. Its only 45 minutes. But after a long day of travel and it being pretty repetitive, it was tough to stay with it. I would highly recommend this place to any friend.

Excellent way to see that part of the country.
About the right amount of time.
      Local guide was excellent.
Overall program differed from what was initially described, but all good in the end.
