Day 1: Las Vegas -- Sedona
Your first day will start with an early morning departure from Las Vegas. As you leave the Strip behind, you'll start traveling across the Mojave Desert, heading up the Colorado Plateau and drive along historic Route 66 to Sedona. Considered the jewel of the desert and one of the most beautiful places in America, you'll drive through breathtaking Oak Creek Canyon which descends 2000 feet (610 meters) to the valley floor. Stop for photos of the red rocks and surroundings at the Oak Creek Canyon overlook. Enjoy a lunch break (own expense) in Sedona where you can browse authentic Indian arts and crafts stores together with unique boutiques and galleries. Your afternoon will be spent exploring the surrounding desert to visit the Chapel of the Holy Cross, and panoramic views of the Sedona red rock formations including Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and Cathedral rock. You'll finish your first day with an overnight in nearby Flagstaff.

Overnight – La Quinta Inn & Suites Flagstaff

Day 2: Sedona – Monument Valley – Horseshoe Bend (B,L)
After breakfast you'll leave Flagstaff for Monument Valley, one of the most iconic symbols of the Southwest and photographed points in the world. Found deep in the heart of the Navajo nation lies this majestic park consisting of sandstone masterpieces that tower from 400 – 1000 feet (up to 300 meters). Your visit starts with a jeep tour through the valley led by representatives of the Navajo nation. Stop for an outdoor BBQ lunch before heading to the mighty Colorado River for a visit to Horseshoe Bend, a spectacular sight unique to this region of the country. In the late afternoon we arrive to Lake Powell in Page, Arizona for the evening

Overnight -- Clarion Inn Page

Day 3: Antelope Canyon -- Valley of Fire -- Las Vegas (B)
Your last day starts with a tour through upper Antelope Canyon to visit the spectacular dunes created by the wind, water and sand. Words are not enough to describe these formations created by Mother Nature. After touring this area, you'll depart back to Las Vegas making a stop for lunch (own expense). Afterwards you'll visit the Valley of Fire. Named for the magnificent red sandstone formations created from shifting sands, the park dates back to the age of the dinosaurs more than 150 million years ago. You'll be able to see the appearance of the valley being on “fire” when reflecting the powerful sun’s rays into the valley (weather permitting). You will arrive back in Las Vegas during the early evening leaving you enough time to explore the town.

  • Perfect organization! Congratulations to the guides Mr. Stefano Galli and Mrs. Ingrid Hinkelmann for their kindness and preparation. Spring time was the perfect period for this visit. Thank you/ Grazie!

  • This was an amazing trip Our guide Ingrid was informative and excellent always trying her best to ensure we have the best experience.
the countryside didn't disappoint and the meal with the Navajo in spectacular countryside was memorable. I have had other short tours and this had no hidden costs, and the hotels were of good standard.
I am going to book another empire vacations tour when I return to the USA

  • Great tour! Friendly driver and tour guides. The places that you visit are beautiful.
The hotels were nice and calm, so you could get a good sleep.

  • This was an amazing tour and the guide was great. Accommodation was comfortable, the bus was also very comfortable. We had a very friendly group, and everyone seemed to get along. I felt it was a great way to visit the sites listed, I felt that our time a the valley of fire was a little rushed, however its one of those places where there are endless things to explore and I understand you cant see it all!
I would recommend this tour!! thanks.

  • This tour was the best part of my trip to the US. The driver and our tour guide, Indrid, were just amazing. They really know about the places and took care of everything for us. Although we spent many hours on the road weve never been bored. To me, Monument Valley was the highlight of our tour. I also want to comment that the hotels and restaurants that they took us were very nice. At last, i just can highly recommend the tour, and say that really worth da money.

  • Extremely pleased with this Tour. The tour guide, Ingrid, was very knowledgeable and attentive. Also, her interpreters, Alessio and Saya, interacted very well with everyone and were also very insightful and helpful throughout the trip. Overall, well organized and the sites visited were amazing!

  • Monument Valley and Antelope Canyon were totally awesome. Loved the jeep tours with the Navajos at both places. The BBQ at Monument Valley was also memorable. Jewelry shopping on reservation was good value. Generally, the tour was well organized and both driver and English/Italian guide did a fine job. The hotels in Flagstaff and Page were well situated and good value for the money. I'm only rating 4 stars for two reasons: 1 the bus AC died midday on the third day which was rough by 104 degrees 2 there was an extra French tour guide who spent the whole three days talking non stop to a lady passenger about his personal life. It was exhausting to hear him drone on and on.

  • This tour was excellent - tour guide Ingrid wonderful, just the right amount of information and guidance. There is a lot of time on the bus, be prepared. But it was well worth it. Hotels for the two nights were good. We did the two trolley bus tours in Sedona, I would perhaps just do the first one and have more time in Sedona itself. The highlight for me was definitely Monument Valley. The tour guide there King Arthur was entertaining, helpful and dignified. The BBQ in the valley was great - vegetarians well catered for. The views and atmosphere actually brought me to tears. Horseshoe Bend was amazing. Antelope Canyon was like nothing else in the world. You go in groups and it was busy and the guide keep us moving quite quickly, but this is a place like no other I have ever been. Valley of Fire at the end of the trip also fascinating. There were times when I would have liked a little more time, but for anyone who does not want to drive long distances themselves, this tour is fabulous. There were about 15 of us on the trip, in addition to Ingrid and Roberto a great driver there were two translators for non-English speaking members of the group. Everyone got on fine, although there was no pressure to mix more than you wanted. I did the tour with a friend, but would feel very comfortable if I was travelling on my own I am female aged 61.
I have no hesitation to recommend this tour - if you have chance - do it!
