Safari was fantastic. Cheetah, gazelle, impala, elephant, Lion So many animals can see this tour. Unfortunately, drop off is a problem. I pay extra for moving to my hotel.

This was truly a "Perfect Wilderness Tour". Everline was extremely responsive and helpful in every aspect of planning. Her recommendation of lodging (Zebra Plains Mara Camp) was exactly what we were looking for and she guided us through every step in preparing for our journey (Visas, vaccines, expectations, etc). When we arrived, she came to our hotel in Nairobi the first morning to ensure we were set and introduced us to our driver, Simon. This was above and beyond. And what can I say about Simon. He knows the Mara like the back of his hand and showed us every corner. Because he is so friendly and has been at this for so long, it appeared that all the guides and rangers know him. This resulted in a "private" viewing of cheetahs (a fairly rare sighting) because of a tip he got from one of them. Over the 3 days we were together he went from being our guide to becoming a new family friend. Hard to express enough our gratitude to Perfect Wilderness Tours for creating the perfect family vacation

I am a little late to review this, but anyways. We visited Kenya in July and Avgust 2022 and this is by far the best experience and the reason we will never forget this trip. Everything is just so waw (I cannot find better words to describe it). The accomodation are really nice and an experience all on its own. The safari trips (multriple to be exact) are something everybody should see. We were fortunate enough to visit Masai Mara during the big migration so the number of animals we saw is simply amazing. Everyone visiting this part of Africa should experience safari trip and I would really reccommend this one!

Got more than I expected! Ms Damaris, the tour consultant, with whom I was in regular touch, was of immense help! I had booked for twin-sharing basis, van safari ! What I got- A tent all to myself and a Landcruiser Safari ! Enjoyed being at the Lenchada Safari Camp ! Nice staff , loved the food & Tusker Beer (extra)! Moses, the man at the controls and a knowledgeable guide , made the visits to the Maasai Mara Reserve, a memorable one! Except for the leopard, we could spot all! Saw lion and lioness mate, twice ! Both quickies, lasting seconds! In all , a nice experience , made by the wonderful Kenyan people I came across ! Thanks!

The Massai Mara is a spectacular place to visit. It is breathtaking to see all the animals in their natural habitat. However, the van used for the trip wasn't equipped for that type terrain, it made the trip very uncomfortable. Also, the tour guide was African American friendly.

This safari was one of THE greatest experiences ever! Definitely worth every penny. From the tour driver to the animal sightings to the camp stay was amazing. If your looking to see “the big 5” (lions, elephants, etc.) this safari is top notch

An absolutely amazing experience. Alex was our driver and he couldn’t do enough to help us. His driving was excellent and his ability to find the animals was excellent. We saw 4/5 of the big 5 and all 5 of the ugly 5. I was travelling alone with my 5 year old and she had an amazing time. We booked the ‘basic’ camp (no upgrades). Again an excellent choice….as long as you are aware of what you are booking. The camp runs on generators that are on for 2 hrs in morning and 3 hrs at night. Plenty of time for charging phones etc, but I was glad I’d brought a torch. No WiFi at the camp, but again I loved this as felt we got the true experience. The food was excellent, although not for fussy eaters I guess. I took food for my daughter ‘just in case’ and it definitely removed any worry when it was a beef meal (which she doesn’t eat). The staff at the camp were lovely and welcomed us like family. We also did the optional extra of the Masai village visit which was definitely a highlight of the trip. All in all truly 5 star experience that I would definitely be at the front of the queue to book again.

Me and my friends had a 3 day safari in Maasai Mara and thanks to Damaris everything was well planned and organized. We have missed the first day game viewing as we arrived very late at the camp, but the next day we have managed to see most of the big 5 animals. The drivers were really kind and tried their best to make us feel good. I would also definitely recommend the camp we stayed in - Neptune Luxary camp. Thank you Damaris and team for your great support throughout the whole journey!!!

The Safari was excellent. I did have a few issues on the last day with getting back to Nairobi for a specific time but I don’t want to take that away from the safari itself. I want to be fair. We were collected by George from our airport very prompt and taken into the city to meet our Safari driver and other passengers. George was really friendly and waited a few extra minutes to allow us breakfast. We then met Alfred our driver in a Land Cruiser which was an excellent vehicle. Even had plug sockets to charge devices. The drive to the Mara was around 5 hours with a stop off at the great rift valley, great for photos and stopped for comfort breaks/snacks at a local petrol station. Was interesting to see a typical Kenyan town on the way. We were then taken to the camp. Rhino camp for us. It was basic but great. Beds comfy, clean private toilet/shower, 24/7 power and lots of mozzie protection, we didn’t get big once. The lodge where you dine was comfortable. Had wifi which was unexpected. Staff really friendly and food was fine, basic but expected. Alfred then picked us up a few hours later for the evening drive. This was really special moment as you really felt you were then on Safari. We were greeted just past the entrance with giraffe, zebra and wildebeest who are local residents. A few moments later there was a plethora or animals. We saw lions feeding, cheetah and birds. Alfred got us close enough for great photos but not too intrusive for the animals which I think is important. Alfred was very patient in moving the car to get better angles for photos. We then returned to camp for dinner and an early night. Point to note - it’s freezing at night so wrap up warm in bed. The 2nd day we had breakfast at 6 and picked up 6:30 for the full game drive. After driving for about 20 minutes (still seeing the usual residents) we found a herd of elephants. The atmosphere was spellbinding as only us there, Alfred drive right into the herd but again being respectful to the elephants as there was 2 calves too. We never had to drive more than 10/20 mins without finding a new animal. We also saw 2 cheetahs on the hunt of some antelope. All the drivers communicate by cb radio when they find something of interest but you often find them just driving around. The packed lunch on the Mara was also really nice. The camp packed plenty into the box. Sandwich, crisps, cake, apple, banana, yoghurt. The group really connected through our love of the Safari and almost becomes a family. Great for all, family, couples and solo travellers. We had all on ours. On the last day a couple from our group went to the hot air balloon ride and we went to the Maasai village which was excellent. They are really keen to educate us on their way of life, they do an excellent Welcome dance which you can join in. It cost us £13. There is also a market there to buy souvenirs. I know they expect to haggle but when we were told it goes towards sending the children to school we were happy for them to just have the money. The chief son spoke perfect English as he went to school in Nairobi and is now the school teacher in the village. You can really see how the money is actually spent on education. We then set off after an hour to collect the others from the hot air balloon ride and set off back to Nairobi. I had told Alfred the day before and on the day I wanted to be back in Nairobi for 3pm as I had it confirmed by Jibril the manager weeks before, however there was a few delays along the day which I won’t go into as I don’t want it to reflect on the company or safari. I missed my appointment at Nairobi as didn’t get back till 5pm which I was really upset about but again I didn’t want to take away from the safari itself which was excellent. Jibril and George were excellent and very sympathetic and really listened. Alfred was an excellent safari driver and very knowledgable. Overall it was an excellent experience and I will certainly back with this company with my niece and nephew when they’re big enough to be able to hold on to the keep as the roads are rough in the Mara but all part of the fun. I travelled with my 65 yr old mam and even she loved the bouncy roads. Thank you for a great experience.
