Start in the morning, you will be picked up at Hanoi Old quarter around 8:00 am and transferred by the Jeep which will drive you to the west of Hanoi. You will admire Karsts Mountains dotted along the road. Passing by a picturesque golf course built between mountains you will stop for refreshing at a roadside caf after the first 50kms. Continue your drive until reach to the foot of The White Rock Slope- the place with the temporary market along the road of Muong ethnic people; they sell all the items such as: boiled corn, corn, orchids, rau cai meo (a type of vegetable of the Northwest ethnic people). You will turn right to small road. It is a hidden road through villages. A bit bumpy for the first 30 minutes, which is perfectly done by vehicle like Jeep, then wow, you get to Hoa Binh Reservoir - the largest reservoir in Vietnam, plays an important role in flood control for the Red River delta and hydropower generation. It seems like you see another Ha Long Bay on mountain. Stop for several photo shots, enjoy fresh air and the marvelous view of the lake. Keep driving along the reservoir bank; you will get to a Muongs home. The host was a former local authority officer; retired now but full of energy and warm hearted. His house is nice, isolated and located just by the reservoir. Have lunch at his house. Following lunch, you will take a boat trip on reservoir where you can swim if the weather permits.

Enjoy your time until depart for Mai Chau in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will check in Mai Chau Ecolodge, which is surrounded by mountains and great view of rice fields. Enjoy your time by the pool or just sitting at the room balcony for peaceful countryside view. You will stay overnight at Mai Chau Ecolodge.

You will spend your second day hiking or cycling on the the beautiful countryside pathway to the tribal village on the hill. The local food will be served for lunch at a family in the village. Take a break after lunch time and you will get back to the eco-lodge in the afternoon.

You will have time for your own at leisure till the end of this day

In the morning, you are freely to choose between swimming or hiking to the nearby villages to discover more interesting things before getting back to Ha Noi. The Jeep and guide meet you again for transfer back to Hanoi. Trip ends at your hotels in Hanoi old quarter.
