  • The tour exceed our expectations and was a great experience. We were able to learn about the unique foods available in Shanghai and Qibao and had the opportunity to try multiple different types of food. The tour was customized to the types of food and flavors that we we wanted to try. Alana was a great tour guide and provided a lot of information both about the food, Qibao, and the area. She had a great up beat attitude that made it a pleasure to spend the afternoon with her. We really appreciate the great food, fun experience, and useful information that Alana's tour provided. Thank you! Daniel

  • I have had a most memorable tour today with Alana. From the very beginning she has been very informative, lots of interesting facts and stories along our way. All sorts of food to try, encouraged me to taste everything I was curious about. Excellent spoken English, took some great photos- even when I was in them! Definitely to be recommended for a taste of Shanghai, and picturesque setting. Thank you Alana. From Roz Yearley.

  • Alana our guide was fantastic, it became a very rainy day and she even bought us umbrellas from a shop! It was very interesting and informative. Alana also organised a special car for us to go back to our hotel as the weather was so bad.

  • Thank you for the food tour and visit to Buddha temple. Despite the really torrential rain, very enjoyable. Alana was very knowledgeable as well as helpful.

  • We had a really good time, despite the rain. The food was amazing, and our guide gave us much needed explanations for the food we had and the places we visited. She took good care of us when the rain started!

  • Our tour guide, Vicky, was very knowledgeable not only on food, but Shanghai in general. It was my first time in China and she gave me some very good tips on traveling around Shanghai. We tried food that wasn't available in other parts of the city. I even tried food that would normally have grossed me out, but somehow didn't seem that bad when she explained it. Some places on the tour I would not have found on my own even if I had gone to Qibao. The tour definitely made the food and walk-through in the water village a more interesting experience.

  • Vicky was a fantastic host - she looked after the logistics from the train tickets to exactly what food we should try. It's not very often you get to eat at a 1000-year-old dumpling house! It's an easy 45min train ride. The water village is clearly the place to be for the locals, try as much of the food as you can! There is also plenty of shopping opportunities. Can't recommend more!

  • I had a wonderful tour with Alana as the tour guide. She spoke excellent English and was very personable and accommodating. She answered all my questions and provided for great company on the tour. I had a really great time and enjoyed the the local tastings, especially the soup dumplings! The foot massage at the end of tour was just icing on the cake. It was well worth it! All in all, highly recommend this tour.

  • This was an excellent tour and I and #39;d do it again if I had the chance. Our small group was the right size to visit many shops and eat like the locals do. Our guide Vicky has an excellent command of English and a lovely personality so communication was easy. Highly recommended.

  • Really enjoyed our tour of Qibao and had some amazing food! Our guide Alana was lovely and answered all of our questions about food and the chinese culture!
I would highly recommend this tour, we had a great day!
