Johnny Aguilar gave us very interesting information and as much as he had time for so no time was wasted. Saw all sides of the city. Lunch venue was perfect - food stalls in an interesting market and plenty of choice, plus souvenir shops to browse. Good that he was raised there so could give us a genuine idea of how things had changed. Was thoughtful of our needs, checking the temperature and need for rest stops. It was unusually cold and actually snowing at the start! He was a friendly and polite man and we were so glad it was a good tour, as it was all we had time to do in the city during our 8hr stopover, so it was perfect. The only thing I thought of after we got home, maybe he could have shown us the route on a map.

We did the sightseeing tour of Dallas with Dan The Man. Phenomenal overview of the City and some really cool pockets of quiet in the bustling Downtown. Highlights were Deep Ellum, the Wilson Block, and the Mansions of Highland Park; but especially Dan’s stories and obvious love for the city.

The guides name was Orlando, I think. Picked up at the JFK memorial in a mini bus. There was only 5 of us but have to say the guide was excellent. He was really informative about everything there was to know about Dallas. Had a few stops along the way for photos. Its a great detailed way to see Dallas, slows down at certain spots to have a close look too. It took about 2 hours but well worth it if visiting Dallas, highly recommended.

Because English is not my first language, I missed out a few information our guide was telling us, but overall it was a great way to see the city of Dallas in a nutshell. Our guideapology for not remembering his name, I'm terrible with names... was very knowledgeable, humorous and accommodating. Time to time, some descriptions were a little too graphic for me to stomach but I guess considering the history and the nature of the event that took place in this city, I guess I can't really complain.
