Lynn, the tour guide, was amazing! Felt like a relaxing morning walking around and talking to a friend. The insect market was very interesting, but the highlight for me was Confucius Temple and the Tea ceremony - it’s a must try while in Shanghai. Definitely recommend the tour!

Lynn was such an amazing guide! She is funny, curious, and is a fountain of knowledge. From cricket fighting, to Shikumen architecture, to ancient asian philosophy and religion - Lynn knew it all and shared generously with us as we made our way on our walk. The street food was delicious and interesting and off the beaten path. At the end, Lynn made sure we had a cool place to continue our exploration.

This experience with Lynn was fantastic! She has a wonderful, bubbly personality that really made the trip special. We started off by having a few bites from a street vendor before heading off to the bird market. The market was like nothing i'd seen in China so far and our guide was great in communicating with the vendors and answering our questions. The tour of the temple was also interesting - especially the tea ceremony and tasting! We ended with some delicious xiao long bao (soup dumplings)! Lynn spent extra time to make sure we got to another interesting place in town before she headed off. <3 I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to dig into Shanghai a little deeper. Such a unique experience.

My guide, Lynn, was fantastic! When she realized that I actually do like to dive into local cuisine more than the average Westerner, she enthusiastically brought me to the ultimate in truly local spots and explained each dish and how it relates locally. Lynn also gave me some great insight on the culture of Old Shanghai, visiting some really interesting sights such as a bird market and Confucius temple with wonderful information perfectly balanced so that I could enjoy it all without being overrun with facts I'd never remember. Bravo!
