Burundi is obviously one of the smallest countries in Africa, precisely located in East Africa but it has a lot of stunning places and attractions ranging from green landscapes, numerous rivers, lakes, including Lake Tanganyika being the worlds deepest and largest fresh water lake.
Les chutes de Karera or Karera waterfalls located in Rutana consist of four amazing falls.This sight can also be a combination with the source of Nile being all located in southern part of Burundi.

    Burundi is not a common destination for Americans and frankly I was a bit nervous. This country deserves more than the three days we spent there. Wasting no time, Hippo, our guide picked us up whisked us off to Parc National de la Rusizi. He communicated well in English and was able to explain the historical background and future trajectory for Burundi. We covered much of the country including the Chautes de la Karena and the source of the Nile. I would highly recommend Burundi to any adventurer who is looking for a less touristy destination in Africa.

    It was difficult finding a travel agency until I saw a recommendation in Lonely Planet Guide. The agent helped me arrange a visa, a tour and a good hotel at a reasonable price I could afford. I was very grateful. The guide was excellent and as conscientious as anyone could be. All together, I could not have traveled there on my own without their help.
