QUITO/ GUAYAQUIL – SAN CRISTOBAL – INTERPRETATION CENTRE – PLAYA MANN – PUNTA CAROLA
On your first day at this incredible island, you will be picked up by our guide at San Cristobal airport from where you will go to your hotel to drop your luggage. In the afternoon you go on a self-guided tour to the Galápagos Interpretation Centre, Playa Mann and Punta Carola. Here you are going to meet your first Sea Lions, Fragatas and Marine Iguanas.
Day 2 (B,L):
KICKER ROCK (LEON DORMIDO) – ISLAS LOBOS
On the morning of this day, you will go to Kicker Rock by speedboat (45 minutes). This volcanic rock is home to many birds, such as the Blue Footed Booby and Fragatas. But if you have a look under water, you will meet many more amazing creatures. Because of the ‘’waterway’’ between the rocks, this place is a home to many sharks and rays. If you are lucky, you will even meet the Galápagos shark and hammerheads. Back at the island you can meet many more sea lions at Islas Lobos after your lunch.
Day 3 (B,L):
EL JUNCO – GALAPAGUERA – LOCAL ORGANIC FARM OTOY - PUERTO CHINO
During this day, you will be exploring the highlands of San Cristobal. Your first stop will be the El Junco Volcano, with the only sweet water lagoon of all the Galápagos Islands. After this you will be going to Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, where you can have a visit to the San Cristobal Tortugas. Your lunch this day will be at a beautiful organic finca ‘’Otoy’’(name of the plant which is the food for the giant tortoises). Here you can also have a hike to see all the fruits, vegetables, coffee plants and big ‘’cañas’’(sugarcanes). After your lunch you go to Puerto Chino, where you can relax at the amazing white beach before you get transferred back to your hotel.
Day 4 (B):
TIJERETAS – DARWIN STATUE – AIRPORT TRANSFER
On this day, you will go to Las Tijeretas by yourself. Tijeretas means scissors in Spanish, because according to Darwin, the Fragata birds who live here have a tale like scissors and according to the legend Las Tijeretas is the flight place in the Galapagos archipel that got visited by Charles Darwin. It is also possible to swim or snorkel in this lovely bay. On the way back you can take a picture of the Charles Darwin statue.
Optional extra day; Punta Pitt:
On this optional day you will be visiting Punta Pitt. You can find the red and blue footed boobies here, have a snorkel dive, lunch on a boat and you can have a guided hike of about 1,5 hours to observe to blue and red footed boobies.
