Day 1 (L,D):
Begin yourCuyabeno National Park Experience with pickup at the Lago Agrio Airport at 9:55 a.m. or pickup at a central meeting point in town at 9.30 a.m. Travel to the lodge in the park, approximately 3 hours away. Relax and get settled in prior to an introductory walk around the lodge. Receive a briefing on the next few days, upcoming activities, and the area by your naturalist guide.

Day 2 (B,L,D):
Trek into the junglewith a Naturalist guide following breakfast. Find a variety of species including amphibians, butterflies, centipedes and millipedes, snakes, birds, monkeys or possible footprints of larger mammals on the trail. Return to the lodge to have lunch after a morning of exploring. Navigate the Cuyabeno River to the KapokIsland. Look for the monkeys, pink dolphins swimming in the fresh water, and more. Venture into the forest to see a variety of insects, spiders, tarantulas, snakes or colorful frogs. Head back to the lodge for dinner.

Day 3 (B,L,D):

An early activity will allows plentiful opportunitiesto watch some playful monkeys and some colourful birds. After breakfast, followthe Taricaya trail to visit the Seoqueya Community, where some local families ofthe Sionas Indigenous tribe live. A member of the family shows us how they prepare the 'yuca'bread which is called 'Cassave'. Navigate down-stream to visit the shaman house where he teaches us the ancient healing traditions and his lifestyleusing the mysticpractice of natural medicine. Return to the lodge to have lunch. Afterwards, take time to relax and enjoy the place. In theafternoon, go out with a motor canoe upstream to visit the Laguna Grande andadmire the flooded forest by black water or 'Igapo'. See theMacrolobium trees, which are homes of Epiphytes plants and birds. Venture in the river to search forCaimans (alligator family) and fishing bats.

Day 4 (B,L):
The last early activity is a short canoe excursion to enjoy the sunrise over the jungle, which is a good time for bird watching. After breakfast you have time toprepare your luggage for the trip back and you will arrive inLago Agrioaround 2:30 p.m. where the tour ends.

* The 5-Day tour consists of a morning walk and an extra canoeexcursion admiring the wonderful landscape in the afternoon and alsoa night walk at the additional day.
