Know More about this tour

Leave Madrid behind and embark on a 4-day trip to some of Spain's loveliest cities: Valencia, Barcelona and Zaragoza. Admire the beautiful landscape as you travel by AVE, high speed train to the Mediterranean city of Valencia, where youll take a short panoramic sightseeing tour and see the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias) among other sights. Have time to explore more on your own; you may join an optional walking tour and visit the Silk Exchange and the Fallas Museum at additional cost.

In Barcelona, enjoy a guided city tour and take in views of the city skyline and the Barcelona Port from the Park of Montjuic. During your free time, dont miss Antoni Gauds masterpieces, including La Sagrada Familia, Park Gell and Casa Mil (La Pedrera). Continue to Zaragoza, where your guide will recommend the top attractions to visit at your leisure, such as the Basilica del Pilar and La Seo Cathedral.

Three nights of accommodation in a superior hotel and three breakfasts are included.

Please see the Itinerary section below for details on each day of the tour.

Day 1: Madrid – Valencia
Leave Madrid by high speed train and relax as you travel south to Valencia, on Spain's sunny Mediterranean coast. After roughly 1.50 hours, check in to your Valencia hotel and then spend the rest of your day at leisure. The city is said to be the birthplace of paella (the popular rice, meat and seafood dish), so perhaps head into town to try one for lunch at your own expense.

Overnight: Tourist Class & First Class: Nh Las Artes

Day 2: Valencia – Barcelona (B)
After breakfast in your hotel, enjoy a sightseeing tour by coach to see all of the city's big-name sights. Look out for attractions such as Plaza de Toros, Mercado Central or Valencia Cathedral, and stop to visit the City of Arts and Sciences (Ciudad de las Artes y de las Ciencias), a beautifully designed educational and cultural complex that comprises a science museum, aquarium and IMAX among other venues.

After lunch at a local restaurant (own expense), relax on the scenic drive along the Mediterranean coast to Barcelona. When you arrive, take in views of the city from your coach, and then check in to your hotel in time for dinner (own expense).

Overnight: Tourist Class: Catalonia Barcelona 505 or similar / First Class: Catalonia Barcelona Plaza or similar.

Day 3: Barcelona (B)
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Barcelona, the capital of the Catalonia region and the second-largest city in Spain. Aboard your coach, your guide will show you Barcelona’s top attractions such as the Park of Montjuic, which offers stunning views of the Barcelona Port, the Olympic Ring, the old Gothic quarter and the impressive buildings designed by Spain’s famous architect Antoni Gaudí. After lunch (own expense), spend the rest of the day exploring Barcelona on your own. Make up your own itinerary and go for a walk on Las Ramblas, the city’s famous promenade, or breathe in fresh sea air at the Barceloneta Beach. Don’t forget to visit some of Gaudí's famous masterpieces such as La Sagrada Familia and Park Güell. Dinner is not included on this day, but your guide will happily recommend great local restaurants.

Overnight: Tourist Class: Catalonia Barcelona 505 or similar / First Class: Catalonia Barcelona Plaza or similar.

Day 4: Barcelona – Zaragoza – Madrid (B)
After breakfast at your hotel in Barcelona, relax on your comfortable coach as you start your journey back to Madrid. On the way, stop in the beautiful city of Zaragoza and enjoy free time to visit the top sites, such as the Basilica del Pilar, La Seo Cathedral and the Aljaferia Palace. Have a quick lunch at a local restaurant (own expense) before departing Zaragoza for the return trip to Madrid.

Extremely disappointed. A bi-lingual sometimes tri-lingual tour. This was not a 4 day tour. It was part of a long tour program with people joining and leaving the tour at different times. Being a solo traveller it was impossible to join up with fellow travellers so I was alone when not on the bus.

Valencia, Barcelona and Zaragoza are beautiful cities with distinct atmospheres. The people were friendly, the food was great, the sights beautiful. Yolanda was our tour guide and she was very nice. However the bus was very uncomfortable, the seats were narrow, hardly any leg room. I paid for superior 4 star hotels. The hotel in Valencia was nice, the rooms were comfortable and clean, and the breakfast buffet was very good. On the other hand, the rooms in the hotel in Barcelona where we had to sleep for two nights were rundown and too warm, and I felt that the hotel neighborhood was sketchy. Also, I didn't like that the bus would stop for us to have lunch at highway rest stops! Not my idea of a fine meal while vacationing in Europe.

A very informative tour with lots of variety. Spend many hours driving in the bus between cities, which gives you the opportunity to see much of the country. Excellent tour guides.

The tour was very good. There is quite a bit of time spent on the tour bus travelling between the cities, so keep that in mind. Typically, the guided tours are in the morning and the rest of the day is free time. Our tour guide 'Marina' was great. The good thing about tours is that you get to see cities and places that aren't as popular. Valencia was probably my favorite on the whole tour. I probably would not have seen Valencia if I didn't do a tour.

Great tour guide, great experience, fantastic walking tours, great rooms and the group became very close due to the atmosphere. Jusep was awesome!!!!!!!

Hugo, the guide is the saving grace of this tour.
The tour operator was good and quick in resolving issues on the ground.
I think though that more places/activities perhaps can be added in the tour to make the money and travel time worth. Location of Hotel 505 in Barcelona was too far from the attractions. Hotel staff were not friendly (especially in the restaurant). Hotel facility was also not up to standards -- this hotel should not be used by the tour operator anymore.

The tour guides were great especially the head guide "Joseph" who made the trip perfect. He managed to mix historu, information, direction, and guidence along with laughter and jokes which made the trip more enjoyable. The tour is well planned but perhaps we needed an extra day in Barcelona in order to visit all remarkable places. The 4 stars Tryp Oceanic Hotel in valencia was wonderful but the Hotel in Baercelona was more of a 3 stars hotel and not 4.
I would only advise that for all tours, it's better for the toured guied to start the trip, and later people can have their free time, for people not to visit the same places twice.

From meeting our tour guide, Carlos, on the first day to saying good bye to him on the last, this trip was spectacular! He was so knowledgeable and passionate about Spain and all that we saw. He made excellent suggestions of things to see and places to eat and even foods to try. We enjoyed every minute of this tour.

  • 31-Jul-2014

Loved the tour from beginning to end. We had a fantastic tour guide (Carlos) and driver (Fernan). The only disappointment was the accommodation that was offered.

Too short! Cities and towns are so beautiful and lots to enjoy BUT you have litros time in most of them to explore! Guided were great especialky our whole excursion tour guide, Josef from Catalunya!!! Lots of knowledge and culture... assisted the whole time. Best City guides... Córdoba and Granada.
