Day One: Transfer from Brasov to the starting point (about 1 hour driving). We hike on the northen part of Bucegi Natural Park because is wilder and no so touristic! We hike to the biggest glacial valley in Carpathians -Gaura Valley! We visit the “Evil waterfall", we make a stop to a sheep farm where we can taste the cheese made here (from June to September) for an small extra cost or cigarettes. From the sheep we continue the trek passing nice meadows and a former Hunting house: very nice landscapes to the main ridge of the Natural Park. From here we go down and in about 2 hours we are to the meeting point (5-7 hours, medium effort, uphill/downhill walk: 800 m/ 800m, appr. 14 km). Accommodation to a local guesthouse in Bran or Magura village. Day Two: Breakfast. If we stay in Moeciu we have a 40 minutes transfer to Magura village. Accommodation to a local guesthouse. We hike today in Piatra Craiului National Park crossing 2 authentic mountain villages: Magura and Pestera. We could visit also the "Bat Cave" from Pestera Village. Although it was discovered centuries ago, the first archeological excavations in the Bat Cave were made around 1950. Now, the Bat Cave is a national natural monument, part of the Park “Piatra Craiului”. Cave entrance is through a narrow corridor, followed by a grotto and a gallery. You can admire the Jurassic limestone formations, formed over centuries, including so-called "tears of the earth". The cave is not electrified, in order not to change the natural habitat of the bats. Therefore, a flashlight is necessary if you want to visit the cave. (5-7 hours, medium effort, uphill/downhill walk: 300 m/ 300 m, appr. 10 km) Day Three: Breakfast. We hike today in the heart of the National Park: we visit Zarnesti Gorges, the only mountain hut in the National Park - Curmatura - where we can have a drink (tea, coffee, bear, wine...) or even a home made lunch! From here we could hike on the main ridge with beautiful views to the mountains around and to Brasov area -7 - 8 hours, medium to hard effort, uphill/downhill walk: 900 m/ 900 m, appr. 15 km Day Four: Breakfast.
