Overview
During this 4-h mosaic class, you will learn how to build a mosaic in the style of Antoni Gaudi, known as the "Trencadis" technique. Create an original piece of artwork to take back home with you as a souvenir. You will work with ceramic tiles, but there is also a possibility to work with Tiffany glass (+29 for the 4h workshop per person).Please take into consideration, that after you have finished the Workshop, MOSAICCOS has to finish your artwork with grouting. Usually the pick-up time is on the following day, it also may depend on whether you have taken the class in the morning or in the afternoon.
Awards: Diploma accredited for Excellence Master craftsman diploma in the work and divulgation of this Art, awarded by the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya to the owner , Angelika Heinbach.
In 2019 collaboration of Casa Batll in the frame of the UNESCO World Heritage Volunteers project.
Our MOSAICCOS experience is also sustainable and awarded with the BIOSPHERE certification.

We teach our students Antonio Gaudí`'s mosaic tecnique "el Trencadís". You learn how to do a mosaic, how to use the tools; create your own souvenir.

Located near the Picasso Museum, your taxi can take you only so far, then you need to find your way on foot. Once we arrived we enjoyed our session with the master mosaic artist and her assistants. Adults and kids alike were there creating their own masterpieces. I’d totally recommend this for anyone inspired by Gaudi!

El taller es una excelente experiencia con muy buena ubicación en un barrio único de Barcelona. Erika es la profesora quien te guía y enseña paso a paso como hacer un mosaico entregando todos los materiales, ella es una gran persona que hace del lugar un espacio muy especial con todo sus detalles. 100 X 100 recomendable para personas de todas las edades.

I visited Angelika and her workshop with my 12 year old daughter in August. The location for such a workshop is perfect in the narrow streets and it is great fun to do. After three hours you really have something you can take home from your trip. It makes the world of Gaudi come to life and creates great memories. Would certainly recommend it!

Had such a wonderful time at this Mosaic workshop! It was so relaxing but also exciting and really got your creative juices flowing! Angelica was a great teacher and guided you through the process, whilst giving you the space to make your own creative choices. I highly recommend this experience if you're visiting the city, or even if you live here and want to do something a bit different. :)

Mosaiccos is located in the Gothic Quarter and offers a range of fun options for visitors. This can be a fun activity for families, couples or solo travelers. We chose the 4 hour class which was the right amount of time for us. You spend the time creating your work of art and then the staff will grout it for you later and you must return the next day to pick it up. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful and we left feeling like we made new friends. It is a great break from walking around Barcelona and you can create a wonderful souvenir. Shorter sessions are available as well. We highly recommend this activity.

Looking for a way to experience Gaudi apart from visiting his shrines, we found Mosaiccos. My wife took a 4 hour workshop with Angela and thoroughly enjoyed the creative experience. I would highly recommend any of the various workshops that are offered here. It is a great way to feel the experience of Gaudi. You should probably see some Gaudi's work first to be inspired but visiting a Gaudi site afterwards gives a much deeper appreciation of the artistic genius. Angela is a very helpful guide through the integrated and imaginative joy of mosaics and the genius of Gaudi.
