Honestly, one of the best tours we did in India and we didn't get sick. We did the private tour with a chef, he took us to all the hidden gems and we felt safe all the time. The guide was really flexible and he took us and left us from a road where we could take Uber. We only felt that the tour was too short (around 2h for us), we would have loved to see more.

I loved walking around Old Delhi with a chef. There were so many amazing, magical tasting experiences on the tour. My guide really opened my eyes to the wonder of Indian spices and the variety of flavors one can experience. I appreciated his knowledge of food/spices and his commentary on the history of Old Delhi. He took me to beloved and historical shops and cafes. Most had been in the family for generations. An all around exceptional afternoon

The perfect option for someone looking to experience the amazing street food in Delhi! Rajeev made things very easy every step of the way, teaching us how to safely navigate the hectic Delhi streets while giving detailed explanations of all the foods we tried. Rajeev was a wealth of knowledge with his impressive amount of experience, challenging us to taste foods in new ways to demonstrate how complex flavors appear with different combination of foods. Without Rajeev, it certainly would have been overwhelming and difficult to understand each food you sample. I couldn’t imagine sampling street food without a guide in Old Delhi to show us the ropes, everyone should do it. Can’t recommend this tour enough!!

Spending the day with Chef Raj was a delight. He’s not only knowledgeable, but kind and warm. My husband is the street food lover and I was timid/worried about getting sick. He reassured me he works with the venders on the importance of hygiene as well as sustainability and we feel great today. The tour provides hand wipes as well as hand sanitizer. Old Delhi is busy and Raj is well know by the locals. You can tell he cares about the history of the area as well as knowing the vendor’s history. His stories add so much value to your experience. We have traveled the world and he has been our favorite guide. The ice cream stop will be remembered for decades. Don’t be timid and fully embrace the experience!!! It was also fun to ride in a rickshaw with Raj directing the drivers so we knew we wouldn’t lose our way. Highly recommend spending the day in Old Delhi with Chef.

I learned so much about Indian food and food culture in such a delicious way! For a first time visitor to India this is a fascinating and safe introduction to street stall food. I highly recommend this tour and this company.

This food tour was and amazing experience for the senses and besides the delicious quisine you also get to see Old Delhi at a glance. We tasted only vegan food an there were plenty of options available and the Chef made sure there was no ghee or milk. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Aditya, was one of the best parts of this tour! A chef himself, rather than us scarfing down food, he helped us to eat bites mixed with other ingredients to get the full experience! It was fascinating to begin eating something that was initially sweet, but when paired with a bite of something else, was suddenly buttery and nutty. We felt at ease wandering through Delhi, as he pointed out old and interesting architecture, as well! He had a mask, and he provided us with a complimentary bag that had hand sanitizer, wet wipes, and a large bottle of water. This is a must do!

History, culture, education, taste… every moment of this tour exceeded all expectations and without question goes down as one of the top 10 cultural experiences of my life. My fiancé and I booked this tour last minute by DM’ing one of the owners on WhatsApp. He set us up with Aditya, a professional chef who speaks perfect English, who met us just outside of Old Delhi. I figured this would be a random sampling of various food carts but no, this was a masterclass in India’s culinary history and how the craft of creating various Indian staples has evolved. We learned how various curries affect the taste of various breads, how some ingredients provide taste immediately and others take a moment to kick in, and how so much of Indian cuisine evolved as a result of British rule and independence. I’m from America where street food equals good, but certainly not high quality fair. Not here. The food we sampled ranged from simple potatoes to next-level concoctions i didn’t know existed (fruit sandwiches… what?) The commonality though was it was all the highest quality. Everything was fresh and everything was clean which means: 1. It tasted amazing 2. Neither I nor my fiancé got sick. Aditya took us through back alleys that we would never have seen to observe flower markets, chili markets and rooftop views that were running amok with monkeys. We went on a rickshaw ride which was more exciting than any amusement park back in the States. I cannot talk this tour up enough. Book it and be wowed. It is the closest thing to Anthony Bourdains Parts Unknown. Oh, and re: COVID, our guide was double vaccinated, provided sanitary wipes and hand sanitizer at every stop. My fiancé, who is a super germaphobe, felt safe the whole time. Book it!!
